HELP should I give this Cancer a love letter befor

HELP okay I'm desperate. Should I give this Cancer guy a love letter before I leave the country TOMORROW - for the whole summer—

Details: He has sun, moon, AND Venus in Cancer. (What a nightmare!) His Mercury is in Leo, Mars in Taurus and ascendant MAYBE in Libra. My sun and Venus are Taurus, moon and Mercury in Aries, Mars in Pisces and ascendant in Cancer.

We met 9 months ago and I didn't think much of him til he came to a meeting for a project and impressed me with his words. when he used to work at this cafe he would sing my name when I came in, chat a little (though I often initiated it). Chats were friendly bu forced - he's very awkward but I think it's so cute. On his smoke breaks he'd never sit with me (even if I invited him) but would eavesdrop on my conversations. Even though e flaked on the project he ALWAYS does me a favor if I ask him. I gave him a present to thank him for his help once, and I ask his advice on work to show I admire/value him. He always says how thoughtful I am, also said I'm witty, considerate - but compliments are sneaky and rare. Usually I try to tease him but accidentally hurt his feelings instead. 😢

We went on one sortof date (I asked) but I wanted to play it cool and not be too forward so I didn't make a move. Maybe I should have. After that he never took me up on invitations to hang out (still doesn't to this day).

After that I saw him with a Virgo girl - super pretty, but seemed like it was more of a fling and I haven't seen them together in a few months. So I started showing signs of liking him again, but he gives so many mixed signals. Positive: looks at me a lot, really subtle compliments, always does "favors" I ask, makes excuses to be with me but only in groups so it's not like he's there just for me. Negative: asked my best friend out on Valentine's Day, never accepts my invitations to hang out, ignores texts.

So maybe he's warming up to me very slowly. (His last relationship moved way too fast for him and then ended suddenly so Maybe he wants to take it slowly now on.) I'm a Taurus so I can work toward a goal and be patient but my Aries is so impatient and I want him now! I'm so tired of pursuing, I want to be shown I'm worth it too! But he's so insecure so I've been very encouraging and complimentary, telling him he's lovely and talented and all. He always thinks I'm insincere. But I wrote him a 2page love letter. Should I give it to him before I leave for 3 months or would it scare him away??

Yeah I keep thinking I don't mind getting hurt if he doesn't reciprocate. But him stringing me along is another thing. I did kinda suspect he has an ego thing when he sorta played me then went straight to the Virgo AND asked my friend out.

But I'm in it to win it. I'd rather be his best friend than his fool.

Is there ANY good move I can make? Or should I just wait forever?

I was playing hard to get for a while but then I read that doesn't work with cancers. Any cancer guys wanna weigh in??

Cancers are supposed to have a really romantic summer and begin a new attachment and I'm just afraid that if I don't make a bold move now, someone else will snatch him up! But at the same time I gues we don't have a strong enough foundation...
