You know how everyone everywhere says that you have to love yourself and take care of yourself... I think cancer women have it easy. I forgot the astrological basis to that, but either way, I think that nurturing (and maybe even mothering) energy goes easily with being a woman. Cancer men, on the other hand, it usually manifests itself as clinginess, mothering someone, neediness...

But if as a cancer man, and thinking about the idea of loving yourself, how do you go about it?

There isn't anything wrong with self care as a man and showing emotions.

I love clingy men, it's something that I look forward to and hope for in my relationships. I can validate a mans emotions all day, if they let me. It's what I live for, especially when I am in love with them.

I know masculine astrological signs, usually do some sort of sports or physical active engagement.

I think feminine astrological signs need emotional support. Some male friends with the same placements of yours, could be an emotional sounding board for you to feel comforted and heard.

I'm a Gemini, and a woman, but I think most men need to focus on caring for your bodies more. Treat that bod like it's precious. Pamper it. Soak it in a tub of essential oils...pick manly smelling ones if you must.

I used to go for Turkish/Moroccan baths (they are kind of like Korean body scrubs) once or twice a month for about two years now. I really wanted to do it for the longest time and it took a bad weekend and maybe 5-7 years for me to actually do it. I've been addicted to it since.

I actually do things a bit differently.

I started doing this mental exercise whenever I'm bored or in a bad place, and I think of my parents and how much they loved me. And then I think of their parents and how much they loved them. And then about their parents and how much they loved their children, and so on.

And then I tell myself that if that's true then, in me, is all the love in the world. None of those people would say.."Come'on.. have a cigarette", or "Don't help that guy out" or "you really need to yell at that person". I kind of ask myself, if all those people who loved me, are around me and can't talk to me, what would they have me do right now...

I haven't mastered it yet, but I think I'm a better person since doing that.

That is a classic luxury I've always wanted to try but haven't yet. Does it involve scraping? I believe there is an Asian style of bathing that has that, and it's supposed to be really good for you, detoxifying.

It's exactly that. You sit in a steam room for about 20 mins.. then get a cold bath, then a body scrub and all the dead cells get scrubbed off.. and then another cold shower, then a body polish with god knows what... I think salt and oranges, and then your last shower and then done.

It takes about 60-90 mins, but I've heard of ones that are 3 hours long.

Sounds amazing. I need to do that. I used to get routine chiropractic adjustments and massages too. I recommend that for anyone who has access.

I haven't tried either, but I love watching youtube videos of chiro adjustments... cracking videos. And Dr Pimple Popper. So satisfying...

You had me until you mentioned essential oils.

Lmao you don’t like cologne? Or smelly body wash? Or after shave?

No, not really. I prefer smelling good straight out of the shower. No one is really said anything negative about that either in the past.

But what do you use in the shower? 😏

Currently, Head and shoulders, zest, lever 2000, or Irish spring.

And I use something from Neutrogena for my face and butthole.

This was so funny, men and essential oils 🤣🤣

I like lavender scented smells. And I'm more than one occasion I've asked the ladies I'm dating to come to bed wearing nothing but lavender-scented stuff from body works. 😈

Actually, quite the opposite. It makes me want to try even harder. Smell is a huge deal to me when I'm having sex.

I Would never have thought to go about it that way, to reach that state. You have the right idea. That is self care and love.

That's awesome man. I'll remember this.

Sandalwood and citrus essential oils are very 'manly'.

So is cinnamon and cedar.

I don't doubt that. It's still not something that I look forward to fresh out of the shower.

Hell, I haven't taken a bubble bath since I was 7 years old or so. I'm pretty sure I'm not going to start now, lol!

Yeah the bubble bath may be a stretch.

But you could always take a spray bottle and fill with water and a few drops as a home made febreeze. Or if you have a diffuser...

Scent is really powerful to set the mood.

Best way to do it is to surround yourself with a good core of non-judgmental/accepting people.
