How to approach a cancer guy?
yeeeeaah uhh don't tell him he's your "eyecandy" sounds scary and "stalkative." Invite him to something with a bunch of other people around under the auspices of it just being a normal hangout. While there, Show him more attention than you are showing other people without being obvious. You can even ask him if he is going to any graduation parties or if he is having his own grad party. Don't throw the proverbial "box" at him. Once again "eyecandy" is not a good look.
You should walk up to him, get as close as you possibly can to him.. Whisper in his ear "I think your hot" and walk away.

Love this idea..and def something I would do! Just get all up in his space, then back off and disappear. Don't have any expectations of a response, after all, you just want him to know, right? 🙂 Have fun with it!
Some subtelity will go a long way....but that technique may work too.
