I like you so I am going to pick on you........

Hi guys, new here and dating a cancer man....about 6 months now. Love him to pieces. He is so adorable and funny but ALWAYS makes fun of me. He makes fun of me or mocks me every opportunity he gets. Is he just immature or do cancer guys have the "I like you so I am going to make fun of you and be mean to you" thing going on? I am so confused. Don't know what this means.....Sometimes he really makes me feel bad...trying not to be a stick in the mud and get irritated but WHY—

Personally I crack jokes on everyone I know and love. If I don't joke on someone it's usually because I think they suck at life. If you like throw some zingers his way. Don't talk about his club foot but if he slips up CRUSH HIM!

First of all, if he's making you feel bad, he's crossing a line. You know when the mocking is cutesy/all in good fun and when it's just plain unacceptable. Follow your gut on this one.

My crab used to mock me all of the time. Some of it was harmless (even I thought it was hilarious/right on the money) but some of it was just uncalled for and in my opinion, used as a tactic to test me. My cancer finally admitted to me that he was trying to get a rise out of me because I seemed so emotionally detatched.

If his mocking has gotten to the point that it hurts you than you NEED to address it. Being sensitive creatures themselves, they're aware of when they're being hurtful, and it's likely he's doing it on purpose. I hope you're not dating a decan II -- you may never get the answer out of him!

My cancer does this to me but it's only hurtful when he does it in front of our friends. It's like making jokes at my expense instead of just for fun. He get's carried away around other people and I can't tell him to stop in front of them. The other day he got really carried away so I acted upset all day. It didn't take him long to notice. I told him I didn't want to talk about it around our friends (and continued being upset). He got really worried. The instant we got home he asked what was wrong, I told him that he was making a lot of hurtful comments and he does it a lot in front of our friends without realizing it. He apologized about a million times and said to punch him in the face if he ever did it again lol.

Then we cuddled all night and he said the L word for the first time. 😛
