Is this Cancer guy interested?

Both cancers, let's call him A. We're freshmen at uni, and we've walked past each other on campus multiple times staring at each other. I was drawn to him at first glance, don't know why.

A few weeks ago, my close guy friend and I were having dinner on campus because we were going to the library to study for an exam tomorrow, and A came to our table and ate with us, that was the first time actually speaking to him. After that, I went to my dorm to gather my books, when I came out, both the guys were waiting outside. I asked A "why are you coming?" He said he just wanted to.

In the library, A asked me personal questions about my family and hobbies etc. My guy friend and he are close, so they were messing around loudly and I laughed, then A said to the guy, "you're ruining my image." and to me he said "i'm not usually like this. i'm quieter and full of mysteries."

At about 10pm, my guy friend left, but A wasn't leaving. When I asked him why he isn't going to his dorm, he said that he just wants to stay here. We talked more after that. It turns out, his house is about 30 mins away from mine and we have mutual friends. He's known for being loud and outgoing, but around me he was so quiet and shy like a puppy. I said I was hungry and that I was going to the convenience store. He asked me "should I go with you?" so I said okay. At the store, he bought a soda and asked me if I had tried it before, and I said no. He told me to try some and I said it tasted good. Back in the library, he gave me the entire drink and said I can have it.

At about 12am, I left and got his number. He told me to leave a text so he can save my number. I sat on a couch in front of the elevator which was see-through glass, so I can see what's going on behind me. A few minutes later he came out for water, he said "you're still here" and drank from the water purifier. He had like three cups and he was staring at me the entire time, and I pretended like I didn't notice. We didn't say anything, but it was weird cos he kept staring.

That night I sent him a text saying don't stay in the library for too long and he replied with okay haha and stuff like that, but we never texted again.

The next day I was talking with his friend in a crowded room, and A came to me and said "hey (my name)", stuck around saying nothing for about a minute and left. It was awkward. When I was leaving that room, he came over to me and said bye. I said bye back. Yeah it was awkward.
