love or lust with a cancer?

I have a very close cancer male friend who I used to hang out and talk to almost everyday. Until his best friend came on to me and we shared a kiss, but a kiss was all. I eventually told my cancer friend and I've never seen him so angry. The next day, i asked him if we could talk about it and he told me the reason why he was so angry was because he had feelings for me and his best friend knew that as well. At that time, i never had any sort of "feelings" towards him, we were strictly friends. But during the time when he crawled back into his shell and we lost contact for a few days, i missed him terribly and although we're back on good terms now, i think of him constantly. But he seems a little skeptical still about hanging out with me these days. I don't know if it's because school started for him and he's busy, or because he's still a little insecure about what happened between me and his best friend.

How do i know whether its love i feel towards my cancer friend, or if its lust and its the chase im after because he's putting distance between us? (I'm a Gemini female btw) and should i tell him that i like him?

just because you are back on good terms doesn't mean he still trusts you. we will forgive but we never forget..i think you need to ask yourself what you think it is you feel for him?

Bad move... tho you didn't even know he liked you. But now you like him bc he likes you. Weird how that works out... hmm if I were him... I'd be upset and sad. You're going to have to do something very romantic. Next time you see him give him a BIG hug and say I like you and that you didn't know. We (I) would love that! Then give him some time bc he will be shocked (in a good way). Then later He'd probably come back with flowers or something. Good Luck.
