It might make you feel less lonely, or help you cope, but it won't erase a real emotional connection.

Because usually when you're hung up on someone that's why, because you had an emotional connection with them, something beyond physical.

If you can get over a person by simply fucking someone else, then you probably just had a crush.

HOWEVER...

If you meet someone else you REALLY ACTUALLY LIKE, and then have sex with them, and happen to get "involved" that may actually work.

It depends on how "over" the person you are.

I mean if you're already like half-way over someone, and just have some lingering bullshit, and actually meet someone else you like (and aren't "just fucking") then that may work.
