things have been great with this guy, we're just starting out for real now that i'm living in his town, he's been initiating all the contact and everything and it's been great. he went far away to see his dad who was put on life support, as he is the executor of the estate (he thought it would have been best to end his father's suffering but an aunt put him on life support against his wishes) anyways, my question is.. when he returns in a few days, how would a typical "cancer" like to be treated in this kind of situation? he's more the quiet type.. should i give him space? or will he want a shoulder to cry on? he wasn't that close to his father i think.. there was a divorce in the family and some bad blood there, but i'm sure he's still in a lot of pain right now, regardless. i want to do what i can but i really don't want to mess things up by giving too much or too little.. any suggestions?
