Need some insight-cap female, cancer male

Hi. I'm new here and could use some insight into the cancer male I'm dealing with. I'm newly separated, but started seeing the cancer while I was still married. This caused an unbelievable amount of tension between us, but it got better after I separated. However, he is still concerned that I'm going to go back to my husband or dump him when I get divorced.

So now I'm getting the silent treatment periodically, him picking fights about NOTHING, just an incredible amount of hot and cold behavior. I suggested to him that we just stop seeing each other until my divorce is final, but he declares he doesn't want that. Not having sex anymore, he doesn't want to see me, won't initiate text messages or phone calls....beyond frustrating. As a Cap, I really have a low tolerance for this and have told him so. Currently, we are in the middle of another silent treatment. I'm just frustrated. Why won't he let go? This is obviously wearing on both of us...but we love each other. My head says cut my losses, my heart says go slow and be patient. Chart information below:

Yes, he knew. Was supposed to be a purely physical thing, but then he revealed his feelings after our first encounter. Threw me for a loop and then I found myself head over heels. I've never been this emotional in a relationship and it is....unsettling.

I think you need to focus on finalizing your divorce.
End one relationship before you proceed to the next one.

Yes, he is very moody. And yes, he has been very passive aggressive and tit for tat. I just wish he would contact me so I can tell him we need a break. I think he knows I want to break up so he's avoiding it. He doesn't like finality, he seems to prefer things being in limbo.
