No. Cancer is a cardinal sign. Cardinal signs initiate action. If he informed you that the two of you should seperate and not be together, then I advise you trust that judgement. People will still care and hold feelings for a while after a breakup, that is a natural process of detachment however, that does not mean that you two should be together. I advise you refrain from contact.

Yes, give him space. If he comes back soon, he still cares. But he might not. Have you two fought over this same issue a lot? When a cancer finally decides to move on, there's no turning back to giving 100% . It's always less.
nope - if you go quiet it may have reverse psychology wondering if you are with someone else etc - the space helps us process what we feel for someone truly as opposed to the heat of the moment
as a Cancer I find it annoying when someone tells me they missed me if Im not feeling it like that or if I know it already ...that makes me stubborn as I like to feel my own way out in situations not someone trying to mess with my feelings process - I need it to be my decision
