very simply, anyone who truly is interested will make solid attempts. he's got other stuff going on that are priority.
don't ever let him know you're upset or sweat that nonsense, and keep living your best life. good things will come. good guys will take you out or make time for you consistently if they really like you.
A cancer man wont dissapear on you if he likes you. Especially for 2 months. Take a hint.
