Venus in Cancer and letting go of a love interest?

I feel like venus in Cancer is such a strong placement for a man, especially a Gemini guy with that placement...my question is if anyone has experience with this placement and if the guy tends to hold on to someone he may feelings for incase something comes to frutition in the future? Like keeping that person in their life and slowly learning about them as a potential love interest.
I'm a Taurus with Cancer in Venus so I have double the clingy power! And that's exactly what I'm doing right now with a Cancer guy. Keeping him in my life. Well I already know I have feelings for him (first time ever with dating). He's been the more logical one not to want to rush into anything which deep down I fully agree, but my Aries placements want me to already be married lol... I've always thought to myself of being very faithful. Jumping around person to person, though I've tried it and is great for maybe a week, eventually I want to attach to someone.
Oh yes kupochan you are loyal indeed lol. Do u sometimes take 1 step forward and then one sidestep and one step back? I feel that's what happens when I get close to this guy. How do u act when feelings for someone but u are scared?
@reincarnation, loyal in the sense of faithfulness or once you have feeling for someone u don't let go even if only by a string, haha.

Cancer in Venus men normally seek a lover that can bring stability to their life, especially when it comes to the home, family, and relationship. This doesn't mean he wants a manly woman, its actually quite the opposite. They normally want someone that is committed, motherly, and loyal, but also someone they can protect and heal. If someone from their past already gave them that they would probably still be with them today. That or heart broken.
In other words Cancer Venus men don't normally go back to things they know already failed them once. They may have backup ready if the see things falling apart, but different people under different situations create different results.

You have me down 100% haha I want to provide and care for someone. All I ask for in return is your loyalty and sometimes just reassure me that you love me and I'm yours.
I still think about failed dates. I sometimes will manipulate it to where it ends badly so when I think back to it, there's no way I'd go back to you. Some that did leave on a cliffhanger I still think about, even years from now lol so it's my way of coping.
@Moonbutter If anything, the Cancer guy I'm dating is the one doing the crab dance obviously. With him I've been very straightforward and reassuring what I mean periodically. I used to be scared to tell people how I feel, but now I just lay it out there. It scares many, but with this Cancer he's had the patience to calm me down from infatuation. He knows what he's doing lol
Yes, but what if u never dated the person just went one on one outings and kissed a few times...would u kind be hung up on that person wondering what if?? Like that person is always in the back of your mind as a potential relationship?
Ok thanks Cheeseburger... Maybe it's just my cancer sun+ Leo venus thinking and clinging lol

Well idk, if I were kissing someone, I'd have to be interested. Otherwise it doesn't happen. I do unfortunately start to obsess about someone even if feelings aren't present. Negative or positive thoughts.
Thanks for the insight Kupochan smile How would you act around the person you like but not sure how they feel about you? And maybe unsure because scared from past hurts?
mm i know a cancer sun cancer venus who is still holding on - while he has another girlfriend. I know he has been disloyal in the past, and even now has acted towards me in a way his girlfriend wouldn't approve of (asking to hang out one on one etc). The thing is, the whole time he wasn't dating anyone he didn't try to see me, but we did hook up.

Because of his behaviour - yea I think he's got me held as "backup" only because our friendship has become so much stronger since he's dating someone else lol.
