so I was all set to just ghost on this cancer b/c we're more or less over with anyway. We haven't seen each other in a month and have barely spoken. but last night there was a huge earthquake in Ecuador where alot of his family live...Now I feel like I should at least send a message saying I hope his family's OK. Good idea/ bad idea? I'm not sure he'll even care to hear from me, or do the same if the situation was reversed, but I just feel terrible about the devastation there...
Do it! Irrespective of how things are, basic humanity should always be there!

That is going to be super awkward. ....
What will you do if he ignores your message?
Do so with no expectations. He specifically and the universe in general need positive emotional energy.

Thanks, I did send a text letting him know that I hoped his family were ok, and he responded that they were, and said thanks. I feel better knowing that, but I still feel awful about the people affected...
And no @thinktoomuch, I was not just trying to create drama, or a reason to reach out. That's sick, hundreds of people have died, and you think I was just trying to get his attention?! Jeez is no one allowed to give a shit about people without a selfish motive?
