Alright Caps.. who do you protect?

True/False: You start feeling protective of someone you're dating because you're starting to invest in him/her?

An fabulous Cap I'm dating wants texts to let him know I get home safe after a date, and waits to make sure I got in my car safely before leaving a date. Given most men I've dated don't do this so I started to wonder..
When does someone you've met become worth protecting..?

When they realize you have something they want, such as money or power (or something as simple as complete control over your life).
Should they "marry" you (if you can really use the Divine word here), it's to attain something.
Me being a true Cappy female, I will start to protect once I feel that I have feelings for that person and things are going well. That's a great sign if he asks you to text him when you get home. That shows you that he does care for your safety but when we do that for everyone that we love and care about deeply especially our parents & family.

I need to add, if they don't seem to care about my safety, its shows they are selfish and inconsiderate. Then I might or might not give them a second chance. I usually don't go out with them again.
Thanks, All!
He didn't do these things initially that's why I'm asking for your thoughts..

Yes I am! Thank you True Cap. Just thought I'd add my cappy two cents worth. smile
dear friends of mine especially friends of the opposite sex who are close to me. I have always been very protective of my family. Of course also very protective of a gf when I have one smile
Langvad are you new, too? Welcome!
Apparently, we are a growing family smile
Welcome winelover and langvad!

As to the thread, I'm rather protective, caring and doting - parental is probably the proper term. Fitting for a Cap to be sure!!

Thank you lildol!! I know I am one to always protect especially my parents. I can be too overprotective but it comes so natural for me I guess. I worry alot and as I have gotten older, it's may have gotten just a little bit too much. smile I should have an ulcer by now as much as I worry about loved ones.

We've already got all the money and power... we marry for a reliable and consistent piece of ass. Sex completes our triad for a happy life.
and -1000 points for starting a hypothetical with "should" That word never makes sense in place of "if" ..."should" is a verb.
Pura... I start caring about someone on that level when i can't stop thinking about them.
We try to project what we feel in our actions.

Appreciate that input, CreepyPants Winking

After an awful long time spent loving someone whose words started to speak louder than his actions, I'm glad to find someone whose actions will speak louder than his words.
I relish it!
