Manga's the best. It sticks with ya and might just be more in depth IMO.
Yeah. Though there are instances where the anime is extremely faithful to the manga, and only deviate to make some needed changes(Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Death Note, Attack on Titan), there are some instances where it's better to stick to the manga. I think of the best examples of this is the Pandora Hearts anime and Manga, the Manga is superior is every way(even in character designs). The manga is one of the best that I've ever read but the anime is terrible-though that's probably due to them stopping at around chapter 25(out of 97 and ongoing) and drawing their own(EXTREMELY WRONG) conclusions to the numerous plotlines.click to expand

when the episode first aired it gave no idea of who the characters were it immediately went into the story line no purpose for why the young boy was on the boat i was just lost
True, both character development and plot development came much later ... like the answer to why the young boy was on the boat didn't really come until like around Episode 500 when they described about his past.click to expand

Blue Exorcist is one of those that shoulda stuck to the manga. I sincerely wish it did. Sometimes deviating away can be good. But that's what filler episodes are for.click to expand

lol, the storyline in anime feels like it moves sooo slow ๐
My Cap friend ... I heard ... just follows the Naruto manga. I hear this anime have soooo many fillers. ๐

Ya those pricks made an entire season out of fillers in shippuden grrr.Generally I prefer anime over manga but it depends. For example in DBz I missed around 50 60 episode after the death of freza and cell. This was back 10 years back where I didnot knew where to watch those vids. But nowdays we have so many websites providing free manga or animes. still each episode took 20 mins so due to time constraint I watched manga. In naruto I just couldn't get enough of story so I watched manga. However in black and white manga of shippuden the fight scene esp in final arc is quite hazy. Also I find sometimes too short like after waiting .Also i like sound effects of anime really niece . Naruto for instance has epic sad song tracks and opening and closing songs.
Also sometimes I watch manga because there are spoilers everywhere esp for attack on titans(But funny thing is there is so little character development in Aot that once there was spoiler about female titan about who she was but I didn't remember who she was lol!)
As for one piece I Wikipediaed it and found it came in 1997 which is why its anime looked old.

At least all those shows aren't Detective Conan. That show should've ended a long time ago.

In short, Detective Conan is a really really long ass anime and manga. It's been running since 1994. 750 episodes and it still isn't done. It's like Pokemon, they won't ever end it though they should've ended it a long time ago. It's about some High school detective who's investigating this organization and he gets shrunk to a kid and he's trying to figure out how to get back to normal.

I adore Detective Conan! However, I can't stand when something just doesn't end.click to expand
