Artists?

I myself am going to a school for visual arts. I plan to be a comic book artist and I have to say that when it comes to me drawing people through, cartoons, self-portraits, or any other form I feel I do "exceptional". Are any of you good at art or have a talent in it?

at canvas or with simple and neat paper

I like oil painting. I do most of my drawings in a sketch notebook and my templating in another.
I'm pretty talented in paint

I find myself sculpting towers out of mashed potatoes and mumbling "this means something"...

I remember seeing this a while back. Yeah it pretty much sums up all the elements and signs on DXP.
I thought about a noah's ark version... but haven't gotten any further than the thought yet!

I'm working on learning anything media related. I've got too much in my head to not run shit!

I would get started working back on the graphic novel I was working on. But I have classes to attend and a job I have to work as well.
I won't call myself an artist but definitely a dabbler. I'm into graphite pencil sketching and very interested in Hyper-realism. Also, dabbling with watercolors. I don't find enough time to practice, that's why I'm not there yet.

I usually like doing realism and self-portraits. But I do like cartooning a lot since that is something I'm trying to become better in. I would usually do my self-portraits in oil paint.

Pretty cool. Making portraits is my ultimate goal. I read about a Hyper-realism artist that he would interview the person whom he was about to sketch. It helped him put more life into the portraits, I was very intrigued with the idea.

Thanks Synapse, I'll check out the site. I'm teaching myself so all kinds of information is helpful.
I think music is pretty motivational for creating art. I usually have to listen to music just to get in the mood for drawing something and trying to do great at it. Without the music, I feel as defenseless as a sheep without its wool.
