Sorry, I had a bad experience with Gem. In the long term, it was a disaster. I don't want my experience to overshadow anything and you two are not us.

Your water venus could smother her. She has an aquarius venus. She will want space and independence and you will want togetherness and constant reassuring. As long as yall are aware of each other's needs and understand each other, you will be fine.

Since you asked. And ONLY because you asked.

His lack of planning and inability to think things through all angles drove me nuts and I'm sure because I was a planner and an analyzer, it drove him nuts. He wanted me to be more spontaneous and I wanted him to think things through.

He was a cancer venus too and I felt absolutely smothered. He wanted constant attention and there were things I needed to get done. At the same time, he felt I was a little aloof and cold (he liked the nonchalance in the beginning). I needed space, he needed attention.

He wanted me to take care of the bills and all the day to day stuff while he relaxed and played. I needed a partner to help with the day to day stuff.

He had no follow through. Almost like a ADHD personality. I expect if you say you're going to do something then you should do it. He was constanting saying this and then when it came down to it, he did that instead.

Needless to say, we ended up resenting each other after 20 years.

Don't get me wrong. There were good times. He was fun and brought laughter and excitement to my serious self and I brought the voice of reason and stability. It can be complementary. We just let our negatives get the best of us.

Anyway. Yall are not us. I don't want to influence you. But, if you understand each other, then that is 90% of the battle and you can get through anything.

Your mercurys are both in earth. It ought to be easy for you two to communicate. THAT will be a plus and perhaps you'll be able to talk everything out and express your needs and wants much better than we did. Perhaps you won't have the same problems we had. We didn't communicate well.

being the same sex, i feel as though we are quite good at communicating and telling when things arent right or im not pulling my weight at times, very intuitive which makes it really easy to read each other. but i know i can be really overbearing sometimes, and in short bursts shes fine with it but it will be interesting to see how it turns out in the long run. she is quite introverted and quiet and isnt much of a planner i sense. where as im much the opposite, extroverted.. which hopefully means we have the possibility to complement each other??
