Cap Friend who says he has cancer

Last thursday, my cap male friend sent me a text stating that he has cancer. I texted him back with alot of spiritual messages and told him that I would be there to support him. Well, I have been sending him a "good morning" text each morning as usual but haven't heard anything else from him.

I am at a lost on how to interact with him since his news. This may sound mean but one part of me believes that he has cancer and another part thinks he is lying. I just decided to not contact him anymore. Any thoughts. I would especially like to hear from P-Angel....always harsh but good advice.

Thank you very much sb. You are right. I thought about everything that you said. I agree, that I may be acting a little selfish by expectating him to respond during this time. I really appreciate your input. I will just give him some time to deal with this.

I just recently encountered the same situation but with a Pisces. I also had the initial doubt about it, because the way he told me was so dramatic and via text. But you definitely have to give him the benefit of the doubt and never openly question it. Also, give him space, as SB said. This Pisces has gone from off-the-wall wacky/fun to serious and brief in communicating. I'm just leaving him alone except for a random text every few days. He's also resorting lately to sending me photo texts instead of actual texts. It's hard to know what to do and to not wonder if it's you.
