Capricorn, Half-Earth Half-Water?

I've been confused on this topic. The symbol for Capricorn is a Mer-goat that rises out of the sea to climb the highest of mountains. But as it leaves the Water, their mermaid parts break away to become hooves and the legs and climb the mountain. They may face troubles on the way up with nearly falling down, but knowing them they would succeed. I don't get it, what exactly would be the official symbol for Capricorn? The Mer-goat or the Mountain Goat? And if it was the Mer-goat wouldn't be Half-Water signs as well?
And then on top of that I've heard they were symbolized by a crocodile, or a sea dragon.... most common belief is that it had to do with Pan - who while he was being attacked by Typhon, he had jumped into the Nile and so part of him was transformed into fish. Eh. Does anyone actually know?

Hmmmmm Idk. Maybe the Greeks were on some heavy drugs to be thinking about Mermaid goats. The Mer-goat might symbolize a bit of imagination and maybe some escapism. I usually do escapism in my spare time when I draw something or listen to music. Could have something to do with that but who knows.

Okay Bub - The first rule of a Cap's more emotional, hidden, watery side is... we don't TALK about a Cap's emotional, hidden, watery side. Look it up, it's in the rule book.

Thumbs up!
Righto.
