How often do you use a computer?

I often use it only 3 hours every day. I usually got stuff to do and being on the computer so much isn't so healthy, I did it for 12 hours straight once and the results were me looking as white as a ghost and losing a few pounds. Maybe only two, but that's why I limited myself. I find myself in a better position playing Hockey with my friends, watching tv, or going to my job, all of which aren't so bad. Hell, the only reason why I even use my computer is for gaming and communication, everything else is practically useless. I actually feel bad for people who use computers way too much because they miss out on stuff outside of the internet, besides who would want to waste their life away in front of a computer screen.

I work in IT.
I'm on this thing almost 24/7. Big Grin

Wow, how do you get sleep then? You must drink a whole lot of coffee just to be on a computer nearly 24/7.

nope, no coffee anymore.
stopped drinking coffee a few months ago....switched to tea Tongue (with an occasional trip to starbucks to indulge in a machiatto.)
24/7 is an exaggeration....but I'm on it for at least 8-14 hours out of the day.
I'm also on call....and the company I work for has three shifts....so I can be called any time, day or night for an IT problem.
Like this weekend....I spent a lot of my time working in the middle of the night on monthly backups. Not an all the time thing, but it averages out to a significant amount of time in front of a monitor.

Wow, you sound like my sister. She's a computer technician and she probably spends more time on the computer than around her own family. But I try to convince her to let go once in a while. Luckily what i do doesn't have much to do with computers. lol smile

well, I'm a scorpio...I don't mind the isolation Tongue
I've had a passion for computers since I was a teenager...so the job fits me well smile
I let go when I need to..it can be a bit much....but it's also just as nice to come back to.

Isolation? I feel I isolate myself when I get really depressed or I just don't feel like going outside on some days, it's nice to be around friends most of the time but sometimes it gets overbearing when the outspoken minority of the group. I started to use computers more frequently when I was 14. But I'm pretty damn good when it comes to usage and fixing any problem it has.

Isolation for a scorp is a bit different...I don't have to have feelings of being depressed or whatnot...It's just comfortable and sort of a retreat.
looking at your chart......it's similar to how you feel when you are around music. smile

Hmmmm, sometimes.
It's a good question. I once had a job where I had to do too much keyboarding, and was connected to the computer all the time. I type way too fast. My hands swelled up and I had to change my diet, and started simple yoga which contributed positively to reducing inflammation and pain.
I find it helpful to spend some time away from the computer, internet, and fast keyboarding every day. It's important for me to spend time connecting to the physical world everyday, and this has affected my long-term career choice.
I'm on my phone all day long though. Similar, but much simpler. "IT" is not my thing. There's a lot I don't know because it's not my first choice for interaction, but it can be fun.

I'm usually on it quite a lot.. researching things and working with different projects I'm doing. I like to get out of the house a good amount though to keep my little piece of sanity.

Heh heh you and me and both man.
