I have a problem with Jeff Dunham

I was watching Jeff Dunham's Halloween special. Then a joke of his just hit me wrong and I am no lonher a fan.

Puppet talking about Halloween personas: and we all know who the wicked witch of the west is.
Jeff: who would that be?
Puppet: your ex wife
Jeff: why is that?
Puppet: because she took half your money.
Crowd: laughs and cheers

I'm sorry. That just pissed me off. Of course I don't know what went on in thier personal life but did that joke really need to be in the comedy routine? It wasn't necessary. It was a public statement

That woman bore his children. She supported him through the lean years of his career. It was not funny that he desecrated that telationship publically regardless what happened between them. That is a public dss and a lack of loyalty to what they had. I am disgusted and can no longer find him funny.

Rant over. I feel better for getting that off my chest.

I think if he bothered to make that joke, at the heart of all comedy is pain. He's probably not totally over it or never will be so.. maybe it's him who's ranting.

He's a comedian. Thats kinda what they do yo.

It may be what comedians do, but is that healthy for his children?

This type of "joke" makes me upset too, it just does not fit the "Ethics Code of Life", only Capricorns understand... 😛

If one is wanting ethics, then they should not look into the world of stand up comedy.

Yes, this was a pretty strong argument, really nice to fight with strong people. It was a honor.
Even though, I can't understand why I watch those comedy shows, must be to escape all that seriousness.

There is NO humor in that and is certainly in bad taste!

true. I think everything's just more offensive and annoying from Jeff Dunham because he's not even funny. A lot of comedians talk about their divorces though...ron white's and louis ck's divorce jokes are hilarious. sorry. lol

I agree. We play way too much on stereo types in popular culture that people now shorthand everything way more then they used too and thus this makes people think that the wife walks away from a marriage rich / selfish / and bitter. Men are always portrayed as cheaters or abusers and women as helpless victims.

I never really liked Jeff Dunham anyway.
