The Art Of Letting Go
It's always hard to "let go" when you don't have much closure on a situation, but eventually you have to accept the closure you have. So it's not about "letting go", it's about accepting what is.
I feel once someone truly accepts that they may never get closure, and accepts the situation and that the last interaction, the last words, etc IS the closure, then the letting go process will come naturally.
Accepting... I think that's the hard part. After.you've mastered that, then letting go is easy.

After I've accepted the situation. I stop idolizing that person. . I stop the what ifs, what could've beens, I take them for what they are and their actions. I stop building this fantasy about them in my mind.
Those memories will never go away, but you can build new ones on top of it.

Posted by CapricornGuy12Its hard without knowing the situation, my experience (being libra, moon in cap) is with my ex cappy...I hurt him badly (not intentionally we were younger then and he was 4 yrs younger than me id never been with a younger guy, i took my career serious and it wasn't a relationship for me) he was perfect in alot of ways but I just couldnt take it seriously. Fast forward 3 years he's done a bit of growing up, he' s with someone, im with someone but we are back in each other lives. If its an ex situation he eventually let go when he met someone else back then, she is a Taurus, perfect for him apparently. Although despite that he came back 1.5yrs later.
Sometimes I tell him he should never have made contact with me again because of the situation that now exists.
Its all very confusing, I dont know why he's back around. Most likely the sex, although if I voice that opinion he gets mad.
So maybe i'm not the best person to be asking how to let go after all since it seems impossible here.
Posted by lnana04Well, as I've gotten older, I've learned to let go a lot faster. I used to be the worst at it. But like Greentea said, as long as you accept the situation, it gets easier to do so.
I'm in this type of situation now. I'm not one to force anything, so if you can't let go then don't.

Crazy part of this story is I dated a libra once and she didn't want to be committed and I moved on and she came back when I was dating a Taurus lol. Unfortunately I stayed true to my Taurus when the Libra finally realised I was good for her. Sad story. I really liked her.

My problem was just that he needed to grow up, and I didnt want to ask him not to do or act how he wanted to be-he deserved to be the 21 yr old that he was.
