When did Chivalry die exactly?

I bet Capricorns thrived in relationships way back in the 1600-1800's or so. back when people still courted each other into a relationship or marriage. Sure, it was dirty and diseased back then, but isn't it now? Those were probably the days though. Just a thought......

Your history book is outdated, chivalry is very much alive. Outnumbered and outgunned perhaps, but tenaciously persisting nonetheless smile I like walking traffic side so the lady is further from harm.

Absolutely chivalry is very much alive especially in these boards! You can find plenty of them gathered together. I do that too with the ladies and with any of my loved ones. Also little stuff like walking up/down the stairs or taking escalators, when going down, be in front so if the lady falls, you can cushion the fall and when going up, be behind etc. These are the little gestures that shows chivalry

LOL i knew i was off on the date. i didn't remember til later lol. i just wish it everybody applied it. i do that too, holding doors open is a plus too.
I remember talking to these girls who obviously forgot my head was on my shoulders but as soon as I said Chivalry they snapped out of there "ooo i wanna fuck daze" and proceeded to ask me did I make a word up.
I open doors and signal for men to enter ahead of me. Very bad habit, and I do it all the time. I can't even pin point where I picked that up or even why I do it. Its almost 2nd nature, so if I'm allowed to be included chivalry is very much alive and well lol.
Odd woman that Aries/Tau. Have her breaking her neck to show you her invisi-peen "sisters are doing it for themselves" and me pining for 1875. *shruggedy shrug*

:p
I knew an Aries/Tau cusper who wouldn't let me open doors or pull out chairs. She'd race me so she could do it herself.
Must've been the aqua moon/mars.

really!? i just got a mental picture of 2 people racing around a dinner table.

^Definitely. Anyone can rally around grand gestures. It's the little everyday stuff that gets noticed, and appreciated, because it demonstrates your character.

Truth..

Being a cappy female means an honorary bulge in the trousers as well. I'm right there with you tho. It's nice to feel your femininity celebrated instead of exploited.

Agreed, and I am an Aries/Tau, soz. smile
Look at the values being pushed independence this independence that. Nowadays even a dog opens the door for himself.
^ True.
Well sometimes there fucking heavy doors these days can be your worst enemies sometimes they even recoil. The ones to watch out for is the spinning ones O-O

That's a good point. I always think of old people in those situations (the big metal ones they have in shopping centres etc).

Muhahahahahahahaha pulling and tugging and it moves a inch or so Tongue
Lmao don't forget the spinning ones Tongue
Chivalry is alive and kicking!

Although to be honest while I do like men opening doors for me or letting me walk ahead, I draw the line on tying shoelaces. I felt like a 2 year old when one guy did that. I was "WTF?" I secretly after a few steps took it out and did it again.

that's way overboard. WOW.

I haven't seen one in years over here. Probably a health and safety issue these days in the lovely nanny state. smile
