If I am interested in someone then yes, I need to be connected emotionally. However, I am able to have sex or hookups with NSA and not get emotionally involved.

In western astrology, my moon is in Aries and mars is in Scorpio. Probably the most sexually fueled placements, but no I hardly even have a drive. The idea of sex turns me off. The idea of a strong friendship is a turn on.
