the dream weavers thread

ok, so this thread is about exploring dreams and whatever waking significance they may have. i thought it would be cool to have a thread for people who wanted to decode their dreams in-depth. i find myself doing it for friends and family. i wouldn't call myself psychic, but i have sharp intuition. usually, i'll look at a dreams dictionary for symbols, then using that information, pull it all together to gain a clearer picture.

lately the parallel between my dreams and my waking life seem to be scarily in sync. i can post my own experience up, to give an example of what i'm talking about.

but yes, there's more to the whole phenomena than we may think...for me personally, there is a conflict between my logical self and my spiritual side. always has been. but i feel like my eyes have been all the way backwards and i have no choice but to look beyond surfaces and decipher all the things we don't access easily. things that don't have much scientific grounding, but are just as relevant.

really, i've titled this wrong. it's more like, 'dream unweavers.' or 'dream deweavers.' but, semantics
i met my sag boyf and the immeadiate spark was so intense it burned out pretty fast. i got complacent, riding the waves and oblivious. comfortable like i'd never been before, didn't want any labels. unfortunately, sag didn't feel this way. he broke things off, saying things weren't right. huh? i thought. no, all of that intense connection was NOT one-sided. it was an exchange. so why go cold?

anyway, i brooded. this is when my scorp moon finally had a lead role. he basically bust my heart up, and i had sooo much to write about, lyrics and poetry wise. it was unstoppable...first love's impact and all that, i guess. i just took the decision to get over it. we've all heard the cliches. 'if it's meant to be, it'll be.' 'move on'. 'don't give in to stalker tendencies'...wait, that one's mine. but i did wonder about him. and wonder if my intution was waaaaay off. during this time, he appeared in my dreams many times. very vivid, and i felt as if he was haunting me. when, hello? i wanted to move on? sheesh.

well, fast forward a little. we're now back on. but with the attitude of takings things slow motion. he was right about one thing-relationships aren't my 'thing'. he has an idealised notion of what a relationship means, i don't. i can quite happily connect with someone-spiritually, emotionally and physically, but labels give me heebie-jeebies. two different ideals which clashed.

the crazy thing is, i knew he'd be back. i could afford to post this bit in the relationship board, but it is much more related to spirituality. everyone who knows he's back said they knew he would be. most of all, my dreams predicted it. check this out:

one particular dream that stood was me and him walking in a meadow. we walked until we came to a lake, which we stood by talking. in the dream i couldn't hear what was being said...these are the symbols:

A lake indicates that you have a deep spiritual reservoir for which you need to find an outlet. Water represents spirituality, and lakes develop where water flow is restricted. Spirituality is expression of your soul and in dreams is not connected with religion. Other symbols in the dream will tell you what spiritual aspect is being focused on. You are being asked to create an outlet for this in your life.

A meadow asks you to open up and allow others to get close to you. It is also an indicator of joyful reunions. See Grass and Field.

Grass, being green — the color of your heart chakra, is healing for the heart and circulatory system in dreams. In addition to being healing it links the dream to your heart and feelings. See Green for more.

Green also indicates a need for adaptability or reconciliation with regard to the subject matter of the dream. Something is out of harmony and needs healing through balance. This can be aspects of yourself or could be between you and others such as your partner.

to wrap up, sometimes we just 'know' things on an instinctual level. look out for odd little synchronicities. and take them with a pinch of salt. being over-emotional about a lost love, or setback helps no-one. this is about a blend of common sense, spirituality and potential (and yes, those things can exist alongside each other).
