Btw, I do the same thing. I was at a thrift store today, and as usual, was drawn to the coats and sweaters, out of curiosity of what I could find. Walked out with a really nice wool blend, knee length coat in camel. I couldn't resist because I'd been looking for one, and it was a really nice brand as well.

I don't care if it's July. I'll wear it when it cools off haha.

I shop online 75% of the time. It keeps me focused because I can search for exactly what I'm looking for by using search engines, menus, sorts, and filters.

Even if I am going in stores to shop, I start online to see if they have a sale, what's in inventory, etc.

Magazines that offer a fashion spread motivate you and give you seasonal ideas.

If you have a favorite designer or store subscribe and they'll email you ideas, coupons,... seasonal ideas.

Combine the 2

For example I've seen sleeveless turtleneck dresses with a long necklace in black & olive. Sleeveless sweater vest dusters with larger holes that you can throw on over a tank or cami with shorts/capris/ankle jeans.

Maxi dresses or skirts, leggings with a tunic or long tank....possibilities are endless
All of this sounds too hot to wear during the summer though. Fall, yes. But not summer attire.

I don't know but I will NEVER do summer clothes. I don't care!

Guys in their colorful, beachy shorts and polo shirts.

Girls with the awful jean shorts and ugly tank tops with flip flops.

Summer has beautiful weather but the fashion is horrid. And oh my God at those colorful summer dresses girls wear. They are loose, colorful, have prints on them and then the fugly pair of flip flops to match. The dresses almost look like dresses pregnant women are supposed to wear to be comfortable.
...where do YOU live??

Toronto, Canada.

It's hot like hell in the summer and cold as fuck in the winter. And there's kind of this misconception about Canada how it's so snowy and whatever... Sometimes we get very little snow in the winter, many times there's not even any snow in time for Christmas, but the weather is just dry and really cold. I can't explain it.

I asked because of the reference to polo shirts haha. I'm like, PEOPLE STILL WEAR THOSE REGULARLY??

I can't knock flip flops though. I live in the land of flip flops as they are a staple footwear choice. Well, flip flops and sandals.

I do agree, some of this hipster/remerging of 90s fashion/"I just fell out of my closet" look is pretty atrocious.
