What would you say is the most versatile food? There's no right or wrong answer here. What food goes a really REALLY long way?

There are a lot of obvious answers here, so I'm going to go with tomatoes. Tomatoes are incorporated into lot of dishes including but not limited to Italian, Mexican, Indian, and Mediterranean dishes. Likewise they are the base for different condiments such as ketchup and salsa.

How about eggs. You cook them in every thing and there are so many different ways to cook them by themselves.
Yeah I try to keep eggs around as my go to "I need a solid source of protein FAST" option.
I might go with tomatoes also. You can do anything with them. They blend everywhere. I wonder what's their astrological equivalent. Pisces rising?
This might be an odd one, but hot dogs. It's a versatile food in that you can make different versions of it, but at it's based it's easily accessible practically by anyone. It can also be cooked/prepared in a lot of different ways as well.
