360 and PS3

I heard they are going to start making games for both. like HALO will also be available on the PS3. Has anyone else heard this—?

Nah, what you heard was just a joke people made to agitate the xbox fanboys back when Bungie (the developer of Halo) left MS.

MS still owns the Halo ip and it'd be stupid of them to publish one of their big name exclusive titles on a rival console (PS3).

So many playstation kids sold out to 360... its a shame. Halo (which IMO is trash [as far as gameplay is concerned], but the graphics are awesome... I mean WTF? A sniper rifle to the head should not take 2 shots [that shield was the worst idea ever]) would never come out on PSanything. PS would be stupid to consider it... KILLZONE was such an under-rated game on PS2... and the second one is coming out on the PS3 early next year (if you like FPS games [and have a PS3], don't sleep on Killzone 2). But one rumor that I have heard (that is disturbing the hell out of me), is that the new TEKKEN is going to be on 360. TEKKEN!?!?!? I DON'T BELIEVE IT!!! C'mon Namco, keep it gangsta' you already gave x-box Soul Calibur.

...but I must say, being a female, I would have thought you would like some Tetris-esque or Sims kind of game. I love it when chicks play FPS games! (its love it even more when they're good at them.)

BTW... Killzone was the first FPS with a run button, allowed cooking grenades, and anti-tank guns (not rocket launchers [which the game also had])... but no tanks 😉. Another slept-on FPS was XIII (Thirteen), by ubisoft.

HAHAHAAAAA!!! I just remembered my 'Hansel and Gretel' technique for Killzone (it always makes me laugh). There were piles of (5) grenades throughout the stage. I would run from one pile to the next, not cooking... but, throwing them in corners (letting them count down) and pretending that I was running away from who ever would chase me. By the time I ran out, I'd be at the next pile with about 2 or 3 more kills. LOL

WHAT A FUCKING DISAPPOINTMENT!!! Tekken 6 IS coming out on the 360... apparently the PS-kids aren't the only sellouts. NAMCO is too. j/k about namco being sellouts, but I am serious about how angry I am that tekken is coming out on the 360. I would too if I was namco, but that doesn't make things any better.

Invest in a Xbox 360 and/or Nintendo Wii if you want. It's pointless to buy PS3 right now because it's still overpriced, still doesn't have many games to choose from that are even worth getting and the Xbox 360 has basically the same graphic compatibility as it does for cheaper. 360 and Wii by far have more of collection to choose from, so you're getting more out of purchasing them then you would be with PS3. Online play and marketplace on 360 also makes it a lot more fun. Another thing to mention is that the PS3 emits horrid high sounds, but animals (dogs in particular) can hear them very distinctly. Bad news, if you have pets. I'm definitely not Sony bashing because I have bought a PSone and PS2. In fact, I've played the heck outta of them. Yet, I also know when it's pointless to make certain purchases.

...and that's the bottom line cuz GB said so!

the PS3 controller is made to fit all (healthy) human hands.
Xbox has a scandalous d-pad... which is essential for fighting games (unless you have the arcade stick).
And the oversized odd-shaped controller makes most games a pain in the ass to play.

I am opinionated about the subject... but you can't deny (with all other factors of a console aside) that at least the controller for playstation beats the hell out of a 360 controller any day.

The PS3 controller must not be that great, cuz your hand is on fire. :p The original Xbox controller was horrible; the large one. They were too clunky and thick. The ones for 360 are better, but Playstation still has the best controllers in terms of weight and style .

Metal Gear Solid Rising is coming out for Xbox 360. I know that makes Sony fanboys/girls mad. I seriously don't get why there is such dissension between Xbox and Playstation fans. I've been someone who has been buying stuff from Sega, Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft for years. They all have their pros and cons. People need to stop buying stuff based on the company that releases it. Take my friend for example--she now who has a PS3 and hardly has any games for it. She bought because she is a huge fan of Sony. And yet, she doesn't like most of the games that are available for it. That just seems silly.

Its all about what you like, and why you like it. I'm a PS3 chick, i just don't see the need for 3 systems, even though the prices have come down so i might be more inclined to purchase a 360 now. I have the PS3 and a Wii, beautiful combination. I love my shooter games, and frankly, SOCOM is by far the best online gaming experience for 1st person shooters. Blah Blah to COD.

Natural competition is going to arise especially with competing companies, that competition is natural and healthy, otherwise there'd be a monopoly and I'm sure the 360 would beat out the PS3 hands down, just way better games and system overall. I mean come on a lot of these former games that use to be solely signed to Sony is now moving over to Microsoft. Low blow man, low blow. 😛
