Dead Space

I got this game for free off of Origin.com. I heard this shit is pretty scary from what people have told me. If there's anyone here who's played it. Is jump scares very common in this game? I like jumpscares, but not one that'll make me punch my computer screen out. Oh yeah if anyone wants it for Windows it's free on Origin.com till May 8th of this year.

Which one? I haven't played the first or second one, but I played some of the third one. I doubt it would seem scary now. Probably would be if you played in the dark with surround sound on. That used to always get me when I played on console even if it was just something like L4D lol...I still have nightmares about tanks...that's not a joke.

It's the first one.

It's more atmospheric survival horror with a few jump scares added in. I would probably say a toned down version of silent hill but a tad better than resident evil if you're familiar with those.

Well...I liked it but... I would still go for Dead Space 3!! ps... if you get to ds3 Remember to get the
gun that plants mines everywhere..they attack when you are in the store (sometimes)

It gave me anxiety so I stopped playing :/

Agreed Alien isolation will make you SHART your pants ...note to self DO not play this with oculus rift.
