Xbox One

I was really disappointed with the Xbox One announcement.
I'm fine with no backwards compatibility but mandatory game installations that could quickly fill up a 500gb HDD and blocking used games? I'll pass.
This guy shares my feelings.

i heard it is beyond terrible
here are some of the things i heard about xbox 1
1. It needs an internet connection, not a constant plug in but it needs to be connected to the internet at least once a day as prescribed by microsoft to play games offline.
2. The use of the stupid Cloud service to play games, so if the cloud server goes down, your games goes down.
3. No backwards compatibility for games or peripherals from xbox360
4. You can't loan games to a friend, and used games may require an additional fee. Once a disc is registered with one machine, it can't be used on another without that person paying full price
5. One of the worse features is it comes with Kinect and it must be connected to xbox 1. Its has a built in camera with microphones(for voice commands and etc.). If you ask whats wrong with that, then you need to be dragged across a bed of nails by your hair. You can "call" one of your friends through xbox 1 and since the camera will always be on no matter what, they probably will see you playing naked. beyond that, who knows what entity will see you. if you're one of those ladies who don't want people taking upskirt shots of your butt and you buy one of these for your household. then you might as well get it over with and make a porno with me.
thats all i heard of for now
Yep...all we have to do is not buy one.
But you know, I still think there will be enough people in America that'll buy it anyway (the call of duty, halo, and gears of war lovers).
The rest of the world???not so much.

More people need to know about this screw up of a console.
ya they figure people are going to buy it anyways
its pretty much having physical spyware in your home

German commission calls out Xbox One privacy issues

Country's federal data protection commissioner Peter Schaar likens Microsoft's next-generation platform to a "monitoring device."
Not all are pleased with the technology behind Microsoft's upcoming platform, the Xbox One. Speaking with news site Spiegel (translated by Games Industry International), Germany's federal data protection commissioner Peter Schaar likened the next-generation console to a "monitoring device."
"The Xbox continuously records all sorts of personal information about me. Reaction rates, my learning or emotional states. [These] are then processed on an external server, and possibly even passed on to third parties," Schaar said. "Whether it be deleted ever, the person concerned cannot influence."
Privacy concerns surrounding the Xbox One were brought up immediately after Microsoft revealed that the system's built-in Kinect features an always-on standby mode that can react to users even when it is "off."
This issue was brought up to Microsoft Game Studios executive Phil Spencer, who assured gamers last week that their personal data will not be up for grabs.
"You are in control of what you want to be collected," Spencer said at the time. "Game developers will obviously enable certain features and you'll be alerted when certain things are happening. Putting the gamer in control is really important."

I was really hoping to Play PGA tour on my Xbox,But this news really feel like what am i going to do with this...Sad..!!
read this
Microsoft announced that they withdrew their original policies a couple weeks ago.
Still, Microsoft can be legally ordered by the NSA to send in information retrieved by the consoles at any time. So for years our Xbox 360s had already been "watching" for quite some time now.

*chiming in because there was something I found interesting* I think that unless people really care about Microsoft as a console maker, they'll probably just go along with what was established during E3. In my case, I never particularly cared for Microsoft in general, but after reading about Titanfall and how it would be available on PC as most games tend to be, I decided to check out the gameplay, which was done during Microsoft's press conference. Now, I must get either a Samsung Series 7 Gamer unless they have something better, or an Alienware laptop. Or learn how to build my own(or get my cousin to build it for me).
I'd like to upgrade my graphics card because I feel my GTX 560 is getting old but I'd rather fork up 500+ for a PS4 with games and peripherals than 500+ on a single graphics card.

The only game I've been playing on it lately is Skyrim so its not like I need to...the card handles the game amazingly.

Alienware isn't all that great in my opinion. For their price the hardware is rather underwhelming but hidden underneath flashy cases. You'll save more building your own from parts all off from Newegg or somewhere better you like.

Hehe. It's obviously not one of the best but I wouldn't call the GTX 560 crappy. I got what I paid for and it's handled my gaming tastes splendidly. I was building the whole system at once and my budget just couldn't make room for one of the best.
Perhaps next year I'll pick up a nice card after I've settled in nicely with my PS4. Still unsure whether or not to get the PS Eye for it though...
So yeah games do come out at 720p a lot for PS3.
But Xbox 360 had long ago lost its luster in my eyes. I lost two to the RROD just after the warranties and I just don't want it anymore especially since the game line up has gotten really stale now.
What I love about the Sony Consoles is that the transitions from old to new had been gradual rather than Nintendo's and Microsoft's instant transition. Games would still come out really late in the aging console's life cycle. And it looks like it'd be the same for the PS3 this time.

Yeah, they're really pretty, but a lot of people who have built their own say that you can do better. Thanks for the link!! There's also a video on YouTube about how to build one. Pretty interesting stuff!!
