If he had to explain to you that you are just dating and that you are too emotional -- you may need to back off a bit. He may still like you lots but that chops off several demerit points. Of course, I'm going by me being a Gem and all. Usually, we get along with lots of different personalities and don't have to give them a road map of how to deal with us because we are able to adapt. But when a Gem tells you -- "this is NOT the way"... you'd better listen.
I've given that speech myself to some ardent suitors who demanded more of me than I could give at the time and by just having to spell it out for them, that kind of turned me off already, no matter how much I initially liked them. We have only been knowing each other for about 3 months and I am never bored, but I always feel like the one who puts the car in drive (I like being aggressive but I like being told what to do from time to time by the right person). Long story short...I feel like a lightswitch being flicked on and off when it is good for him. I really do like him a lot but he is moving like a turtle and I am ready for this ship to sail! Okay..I am going to bring it on the calm down and run a couple of laps to relase some built up stress and I am going to wait for this man to love me and I am going to love him back--really really hard! I know that I am worth it and by you putting somethings in a way that I would have never seen them, I know he is worth it...they say good things come to those that wait...hope I'm not in my 60's and collecting dust!

Hey, you know, sometimes it takes something as traumatic as that for a Gem to grow up and mature. BUT, a mature Gem is a far far worthier prize than one that's still got some growing up to do. I guess that's why he's got the discipline, patience and thinking before he jumps down pat. So, just be patient. I know... easier said than done... but all good things come to those who wait.
You know I took yalls advise and guess what....IT WORKED!!!!!! We had a really really nice conversation for like 3 hours! He told me how he did not like the person that he was in the past and how he put himself out on the line for someone else and he got screwed big time. He wants this time with me to be diffrent so he is trying a diffrent approach. Hey glad to hear that it's going well for you! I wouldn't worry about the silence at this point. I'd even tell you to get used to it. I'm the same way too. After a day of bonding and getting more emotionally intimate, I need to pull away. It's just the way it is. Like if today, I went to a party, was real sociable and going around like I was the one throwing the party, the next day I'll be really anti-social.
It's probably a built-in mechanism to keep other people interested in us. We don't overexpose ourselves so they'll be left wanting more. It's a no fail strategy anyway, LOL. So just chill and do something else you're interested in while giving him space. Men are like rubber bands (Men are From Mars, Women are from Venus) -- so you gotta give him space to spring back and he will do so with more gusto.

Oh, trust me, he noticed. It's most probably part of the power play and the mental foreplay. Sometimes, I don't deliberately give compliments even though it's well deserved because I want to see what they'll bring to the table next or if they can keep their game up. Or sometimes it's just to observe. When I am getting to know someone, I will hesitate to give out my preferences to see what they come up with on their own. That's how I learn more about them.
If I kept saying what I liked, they'll just do what I like and I don't know if that's their default or just trying to please me for the moment. Does this make sense? Well seriously if he can't handle your switching personality now he never will, so what is the point anyway? We can not change who we are, nor would I want to. If they can't hang they can simply aim their target at a different bullseye. I am sick of apologizing and explaining myself, did that for years. You don't get me, I don't care anymore. No not just sex....I just know that for me it plays an important role just like conversation and commitment. If I am with someone and there is no sex, well there is no me---I can be by myself if I wanted no sex. Mr Gem and I are 3 months strong and we have not had sex at all--we kiss and hug and enjoy each other but no sex. Now when it becomes official that we are a couple--I demand that his boxers come off and I will gladly give him my undies.

However... today... TODAY... I love being Gemini. He made a big deal and puerile show out of what I considered to be a non-issue and I think he's broken up with me. He actually did say that he couldn't figure me out. And, like you, I can feel myself buying a ticket onto the "I don't care anymore" train. Same thing. Sick of apologizing and explaining myself. I actually don't mind the explaining myself part -- I kind of look forward to it -- BUT for crying out loud, it would help a lot if he listened and heard what I was saying. (rolls eyes upward)
So I am on shutdown when it comes to him right now. I feel that I've done enough and if it isn't enough, well fuck it. So I'm not trying to curry favor with him nor am I pining. I just want to forget he/this exists for now. Until when shutdown mode will last, I don't know.

Well I can assure you that once you do grab his attention with that Venus in Cancer. He will be all over you and you will be squirming to get away, lol. So sorry he did not call or text you today. Maybe he was busy. I think that is why it takes me so long to get close to someone because once I do it is hard for me to let go or forget them. I just have to accept that he will not display himself the way that I do. I told him that I was very worried about him, but he has no clue how upset I was. He did tell me that he has to stop himself from asking me to be his lady. So my next question is this...how do I win his heart over and how long will I have to wait for him just to come completely out of his shell...I guess I just keep on doing what I am doing now....He has not complained so far.

Also you say you want the simplified version, I think he would be all for that. Maybe you should communicate your needs to him. I am sure he will want to make you happy. Sometimes we get a little overwhelmed with our emotions believe it or not and our minds kick in and attempt to block them out. It is just a natural process for us, I try to put on the brakes when this happens since I have gotten older. I think it is fear of rejection or that things won't work out and we will wind up with a broken heart and that we are not good at dealing with. Others think we just walk around painless but it is so not true.
I actually had a day today like that. I was really upset and I just kept looking at the clock thinking ok how much longer do I have to fake this happiness to everyone. I just wanted to go somewhere be alone and cry because I am trying to make someone happy and it seems to be having the opposite effect. I don't know what to do? So I started getting real nervous and I actually felt tears coming to my eyes and I just held them back. See it really sucks being a Gemini at times, although I still would not want to be anyone else but me.

AAAAAAAAAAArighty then!!!! So my Gem is in love with me again---after his latest blow and him leaving me hanging, I am once again comforted by his BIG gentle hands..*sigh* He is like soooo into me today---I could just melt!! So today I wore a low cut tight shirt (even though I don't think he is a breast man) and a g-string under my pants.*beep..beep* lol...No but seriously, I do think that this guy is genuine and has been hurt and taking his time is going to both benefit him and me. I had a step-brother once that I could not stand. He was so freaking annoying, ha ha. I was glad when my dad divorce that women, I finally got rid of him for good 🙂. When you add kids to the mix it can make it quite interesting. When my husband and I broke up for a couple years, I dated other people and found out my son was intimidating them all.
