Like/dislike cancer ? (Page 2)

I do love me some Cancers but when it comes to Cancer guys I like, what I dislike most is that they never tell me what's on their minds. They make me work harder. They make me pry them open and it is like pulling teeth. It's like I don't have the magic words and it just frustrates me. I can be patient. I can be loving. I can be everything that I know is good but that is still not good enough.

Even when I'm gentle. Even when I'm patient. Even when I am willing to listen and work through things. Even when I am willing to give them tons of affirmations. Even when I knock down my walls and let them see right through me. Even when I can be sweet, nurturing, sexy, heartfelt, caring, etc...I'm just never good enough.

With that being said, I do really like Cancer guys. I wish I could meet one that would just click with me for reals and not run away or disappear.

I know this is a Gemini board....but ...Cancers annoy me and are meant to be compatible with me a Scorpio....LOL

I miss my cancer. I miss the qualities of the person. But I don't miss the difficulties in communication we had. Our communication style s were completely different. It was like pulling teeth and I'm not a dentist.

I've never dated a Cancer, or even been attracted to one. My best friend dated one, though (she's a Gem), and it was a DISASTER. He tried to control every step she took and every breath she drew. We both loved him to death as a friend (and still do), but the relationship just seemed to bring out weird parts of his personality.

Speaking of Cancers. I am normally surrounded by female Cancers. My sister is one, mom is Cancer moon, bff is Cancer also. I get along with them pretty well. Males not so much.

I have my sun in the 3rd house, the natural home of gemini, and venus in gemini and I love my gemis. You are friendly, witty, versatile, loads of fun and addicted to your techno-gadgets with your phone glued to your ears. Maybe we're not the best romantic combo but I think we make great friends. Gemis are the life of the party.

All I know is that all Geminis around me are Clingy ...and I can't understand why. They love attention specially a simple conversation like texting, calling.. It's too much, I want my freedom. One of my bestfriend female Gem always telling me I'm ignoring her, I'm not seeing her, that She's feeling left out.... what the.... the man who shows interest consistently call on the phone .. urgh.... just to say nonsense thing like I miss you already why arent you texting me? Why should I? He isn't my BF and not my type! and I just laughed though I'm irritated, still trying to be friendly .... But I appreciate these type of Gem I think they are warm and real people and they can be my bestfriend and reliable buddy... not the typical cold, harsh, lier, self absorbed, irresponsible, unreliable, and thats the other type of Gem.. that kind of Gem doesn't deserved my respect and admiration.

That's a contradiction. If a Cancer is constantly calling and wants to "talk" to you, it means he enjoys your conversation and enjoys being connected to you. If you make him feel like you would prefer text messages, instead of talking, that translates to Cancers that you need space. He'll shutdown and detach himself which translates to Gemini as "M.I.A"

So many things rang true reading this thread??_??_..

I was with a cancer for a year. I'm a gem with sag moon and scorpio rising (scorpio totally at odds with the other two and ruins my life - a whole nother story).
It started off amazing, and we had the deepest connection (I think also that we both had scorpio rising was part of the reason). Then it became more and more apparent that we had different ways of wanting to communicate, and very different expectations and understanding of each other's needs. It was a massive learning curve for both of us, and we both learnt quite a lot. But this is the only relationship I've had that I've been so damaged from. I actually had mental health problems a year after the end of it still, which is a culmination of the stress of us living together for 6 months after travelling together for 3 months??_ (the cancer's idea to move in, and tried to make out I was a terrible person when I said I thought it was a terrible idea - we had already been having really bad trouble with arguments whilst travelling). Anyway, Gem, with Sagg moon, it didn't work out well for various reasons. I felt that even though there was no direct threat to my boundaries, it felt somehow that because of so much immediate emotional expectation, I felt incredibly emotionally strained without space to be able to safely reflect on it.

The main prob with our dynamic as far as I was concerned, was that Cancers are so certain about their opinions, that it actually threatened and stressed me, because a) it was so much strong emotion to deal with. But b) I don't trust anyone that is so sure about what they think/feel. I think it's actually backwards and almost manipulative, in a way, because you are inviting other people to trust your opinion is likely to be correct, by sounding so sure about it. At least with geminis, we may annoy cancers by seeming unsure, but it's only because NOTHING is sure, and therefore, you should choose the best option, but always with the awareness, that you never can be sure of anything. Rather than making a mess by believing too hard in something, and missing the objective view point to see it from a fresh perspective enough. It was stressful, because her opinion was so certain, if I was more analytical about my own opinion, hers would automatically trump mine as she sounded like she knew what she was saying more confidently.

I think maybe she thought that because I didn't seem very worried or fearful about losing her,

I couldn't love her enough. Which was absolutely not true, I was totally in love with her. But it was strained after so much misunderstanding of each other.

I've just turned down a potential cancerian housemate??_.but they have venus in gemini. And moon in Aries. Does that mean they're more likely to get on with me?
Not totally sure if it was a mistake! (obviously not strong enough for not being sure!)

I'm a gem, and I'm painfully honest, I find it horrendous to have to lie about something, and it gets me in trouble. Then again, I have saggy moon, and Scorpio rising.
I've found cancers to be emotionally manipulative at times without seeming to realise they are doing it.

I have been with a Cancer man for over a year now, I am a Gem. It is the best relationship I have ever had. He is emotionally stable, very supporting, not clingly at all, fab sense of humour, so very interesting and the sex is amazing! He is 10 years older than I am and I am in my 40s. I am also a Taurus/Gem cusper so I am very grounded, excuse the pun. We both have Venus in Taurus and his Mars is in Virgo (ahem) while mine is in Aquarius. This seems to be a rare connection but it works just fine! I guess it really just boils down to individuals, doesn't it?

My experience with a cancer male is that he wants from you so he is constantly calling, giving you attention hoping to reap rewards. Once he doesn’t get what he wants, he goes MIA. Cancer female friend wants to talk on the phone when bord at work. Ok, I love you very much and I want to talk to you but I also want to do 1000 of other things. I like cancers though because they are crazy.
