Sleep- does it even exist?

This is for anyone, mainly Geminis but is sleep easy for you to get or do find yourself laying there thinking all night?
How do you guys shut your brain off at night and fall asleep?
Not a Gemini, but interesting topic.
Not so much because I can't get to sleep, but I've often woken up in the middle of the night from some random thought.
I usually meditate or read something dry. Works every time.
Sleep is easy for me, when I'm so freaking tired I'll just fall over and drift away.
I think a lot and yes, it interrupts my sleep. I rely on my thunderstorm sounds to lull me to sleep many nights when it's especially hard to sleep. If I'm excited about something--sleep evades me!

Oh! Another sleep aid: Sex...if it's great I'm asleep soon after; a BOB will work too...lol!
my mother-out-law is a Gem, my god -she is beyond insomnia!
She reads, she meditates, she doesn't seem to be able to sleep very much at all...
I'd say it's a matter of a few hours a night, I don't know how she does it 'cos she's running around a fair bit playing golf and stuff during the day (she's semi-retired).

I'm a night owl, so getting to bed if half the problem. With so many things going on right now that have me very concerned, i tend to think about them for hours. my brain never shuts off.
I started doing several things which really helped.
1. make sure you don't eat any carbs after 7pm. this way your body is in a state of fasting over night. this in turn helps your pituitary gland release more natural HGH (hormone growth hormone). This is due to the fact that when you are in deep REM sleep, your brain's neurotransmitter, serotonin brings about your brain's ability to relax.
2. take melatonin before bed. take on empty stomach. this produces more serotonin, and i've explained above what this does.
3. GABA- GABA (GAMMA-AMINOBUTYRIC ACID) I take 4 GABA before bed on empty stomach. combined with melatonin, it really works. plus you get all the side benefits from it as stated below, which is off of WebMD.
OVERVIEW INFORMATION
GABA is a chemical that is made in the brain.
GABA is taken by mouth for relieving anxiety, improving mood, reducing symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (PMS), and treating attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). It is also used for promoting lean muscle growth, burning fat, stabilizing blood pressure, and relieving pain.
GABA is used under the tongue for increasing the sense of well-being, relieving injuries, improving exercise tolerance, decreasing body fat, and increasing lean body weight.
How does it work?
GABA works by blocking brain signals (neurotransmissions).
4. Magnesium- I take this in the am and pm before bed. it's known that most people have insufficient levels of Mag. in their body. getting the proper dose in your system can help with mood and muscle relaxation. People who have problems with legs cramps at night don't have enough Mag.
5. Orgonite by my bed. Orgon was discovered by William Reich years ago. It's a positive energy in our atmosphere. He used this to make it rain. I have a bunch of different sized ones. The largest one is a chembuster which removes the pollution and chemtrails from the sky. it works like a charm.
I have one on the smart meter. by doing this, it b
the one on the smart meter blocks all toxic EMF to our home. I a larger pyramid sitting on my computer desk. it blocks the bad EMF from that too.
During the day, i wear an orgonite crystal which removes negative energy and make you feel more energized.
probably more info than what the OP was looking for. Winking
I have to listen to music if I have a whole lot on my mind, I have to be comfortable . I don't like sleeping with others either cause I'm a super light sleeper I kinds hear and feel everything unless I'm dog tired. My mind is always thinking especially when I'm upset about something and until in over it it carries over in my dreams or it's there as soon as my eyes open
I've been on sleeping tablets for the past year. Forget to take them and I'm screwed. I try read a book and have a herbal tea beforehand. Going to the gym 3 nights a week also helps.
