Another crazy Gemini or what?

Okay so she had an 87% chance of getting the same cancer her mother did and now that has been reduced to 5% . She made the sensible, rational choice. And her bewbies have already been reconstructed. I bet they did a fantastic job, too.

Science is easier to understand with numbers.

watch out. she has many defenders.

And apparently, they feel like it's perfectly sane to cut yourself up out of fear. Never heard of it before, to be honest.

It's not uncommon, crabby. Many women opt for preventative double mastectomy if they have a strong propensity for it. Jolie tested positive for the BRAC1 gene mutation which is what gave her the 87% chance of developing the cancer her mother did. Thanks to modern medicine these options are available to us...

Do the women know how these "numbers" are calculated?

What do you think of Saggies?
I just skimmed this thread so I don't know if what I say will be a repeat.
I understand what she did and why she did it, but I don't think I would ever cut off my girls just to avoid the inevitable! If it's going to happen, then it's going to happen. Did you know that altho it's rare, men can get breast cancer too. They don't exactly have anything to cut off.... It's not always in the breast tissue, sometimes behind it, which is what she has left over. Hmm.
Good ol' Angelina Jolie. Stirring up the big soup pot that we inhabit. Bless her soul. At least for keeping things 'interesting.'

I like them in an aloof sort of way. Wouldn't waste time with one, but they're nice. Are they the kind to have superstitious level of confidence in the medical field, enough to cut themselves up?
She did what was right for her.
What's difference between getting them cut out or sliced in? Meh, to me, not much.
