The ones who stand up for themselves

Dear Geminis,
How do you feel about people you can't manipulate, the one you can't get what you want from, the ones who see through you and stand up for themselves?
Hate them? Admire them? Love them for having a backbone? Dislike them because you can't get through them?
(Tonight a Gemini friend begged me a dozen time to sext with him. He tried to manipulate me, played the pity card. Played mind games. And in the end rather than letting him win like usually, I decided to not give him what he wanted. Was tired anyways. He was super depressed when I said good night. I'm curious what your reaction would be)
This douchebag guy probably has some water placements (sorry Cancer but you are totally guilty for pulling the guilt card). Gemini's arent the manipulative type, and we definitely don't pull the pity card.

Other than my hubby now and then for fun, I don't manipulate people. I tell them like I see it and they either get it or have to go analyze it to death.
I have found, however, certain people (not naming signs) who are very manipulative. And in most cases, it was because instead of being up front with me, they went the passive - aggressive route. I loath this game. I hate head games, period. I consider people who have to play head games and manipulate weak. If you're assertive and not afraid of rejection, you don't manipulate. You speak your mind in a clear, precise and honest manner without making someone else feel like crap. Sometimes a little humility and less aggressiveness go a long way with people.

He's got Venus and Mars in Cancer..
Not sure what that means planet wise
I think when you give someone what they want all the time, then decided not to, the reaction would be the same, regardless of sign.
As for me, I won't hook up with someone who makes it to easy for me. No fun in that.
I actually like it when someone is up front with me, at least I know what I'm dealing with.

And I was right. Might need to look up on those placements, Cancer pulls guilt trips/manipulation like no other. This is why I said what I did earlier.
There's someone out there I can't manipulate?

Those two sentences oppose each other?

NO they don't, think about it for a while, it'll make sense. smile
I don't try to manipulate anyone. Waste of time.
To add to my first post, it's truly been my experience throughout life that there are basically two types of people. Ones who admire someone who stands up for themselves in a dignified manner and for what they believe in, and two, those who are intimidated by someone who has a backbone.
Even if I vehemently disagree with someone, I can admire them if they can bring some substance to the discussion and some fortitude. Honestly, I'd rather have someone like this person in my foxhole than someone who agrees with me most of the time but is a spineless twit.
I have no doubt I earned the respect and admiration from several of my former coaches because I stood up for myself and for what was the right thing to do when others wilted like a leaf. There truly is a difference between being an arrogant jerk thinking you know it all and someone who has the type of confidence, assertiveness and "can do" attitude that magnetizes people.
