When Geminis become emotional

I asked my gemini bf when was the last time he cried, and he told me last week. We haven't really been on good terms for the past month, which is starting to pick up in a good direction again. I wront 3 page letter to him regarding my feelings. How hes mean this and that, just my reflection on whats going on between us. When hes mad he doesnt even want to treetrunk ;] (spelt it like that on purpose) but anyways my letter made him cry... and i dont understand why? if my tears cant make him cry nor my once broken heart why can my words of feelings that he never really listens too cause him to cry for 20 minutes?

listen you geminivixen at the beginning lol why would i want my man to cry? I never ever thought i could make him cry. I wrote the letter because he we becoming too controlling and ive had enough, in that letter it included me breakin up with him. Ive been breaking up with him i really dont take pride in it. I dont want my time or his time to be wasted. I am an aries, my whole life is about laughing. I also wrote that letter so he would speak to me you guys are annoying when you do the whole silent treatment but dont like it being done to you.
I get what the OP is saying. It's not that she wanted him to cry. It's just that it's natural for a woman to hope that her emotions can move a man in some way. He gave her the cold poker face while she was balling her eyes out. That would bother anybody.
However, don't judge him for the poker face. If he will cry, he'll most likely do it in the dark and/or when you least expect it. I am this exact way. Idk what it is, but something inside of me won't let me break down when someone else is breaking down. Now when I am alone, that's a different story & I cry b/c I don't have to worry about anyone seeing it or trying to console me when I really just want to be alone.
Words hurt. Especially for people who can only become emotional or shed tears when they're alone. Your words will hit them quicker if they are short, to the point & understandably critical when he's all alone seeing/reading it by himself.
If you mentioned things in that letter that a lot of other women (or his mother) have ever told him, it probably hit close to home. Something about criticizing someone via letter seems so final. 1 of the downfalls of controlling people is that they have gotten so used to you taking it, that they are in shock like deers in headlights when you suddenly stand up for yourself.
Plus you left him & if he cared anything about you at all, of course this really hurt. If he's going through anything else (financial problems, job issues, family drama, etc.) in his life, you breaking up with him might've been his last straw & brought him to the point of finally letting out tears that he's probably wanted to shed for a long time

We're human too. I dont cry often, but when it comes to love/relationship, I can cry. But in life and else, I dont cry (except from touching videos) 
Hes always sounds like hes on the verge of breaking up with me. Im too weird for him this and that, but unlike him i wont just talk about it ill do it. I keep breaking up with him and its not out of fun. Its simply cause i dont want to put up with that behaviour anymore and to restore my powers.
