When a person suffers from full body paralyzation from an injury, how come you can still move your eyes freely? Just curious, thanks.

There are numerous types of paralysis, for it depends on what category and part of the Nervous System has been dis-charged. The full body paralysis in which I believe you refer falls under two categories ..
Paraplegia, which is located in the lower back, and ..
Quariplegia, which is located higher up the back, to include neck
Paralysis effects the muscles, as they are responsive to the neurons. If neurons are effected = nerve damage.
With paralysis steaming from a Spinal Cord injury, even the neck ... it doesn't effect the head for the nerves that control facial function are in a different part of the Dorsal Cavity.
An injury to the brain, or tumors, diabetes, bells palsy, and numerous other conditions and deseases can cause total facial paralysis, in which case .. the rest of the body will be uneffected because the relationship within the Nervous System of head and body are on different neoru-pathways.

I think of the late Christopher Reeve, and how much of a crusador of hope, he was.. thx again.

On a positive note .. just recently (past several years), they've learned how, by using stem cells, to re-grow nerve cells, as well increase the firing speed along the fibers.
This means .... once neurons have been effected, they stop firing (called Seperation of fiber tracts), so messages stop being transmitted, as illustrated above .. so this is what you've heard as "nerve-endings" ... what they are talking about with nerve-endings and being damaged is just basically the neurons (nerve cells) have stopped firing .... can't recieve electric pulses.
Well, once these have stopped firing, they can NOT be re-charged, they cannot be repaired ....... paralyzed in the body, or part, as it's repsective to the Nervous System .......... however .....
In case study using stem cells, they've attempted, ironically, to experiment with vision, and have been successful in discovering that though, these nerve-endings are fried (pun intended), NEW neuro-pathways can be created/connected and they ARE FIRING = vision restored from a completely different nerve (fiber tract) within the same system (CNS).
It's sort of like Arteriosclerosis (hardening of the arteries). Arteries carries blood flow, when blood flow is impaired, a number of consequences follow (stroke, thrombosis, infarctions, etc). Well, people can get treatment, such as angioplasty, or by-pass, but, there is no known cure. However, arteries continue to grow, all our lives, so long as blood is being flowed. In athelets for example, their muscles are able to extend because they've created more arteries to flow into the muscles from exercise.
The more you exercise .... the longer you live, the healthier you are because every persons arteries close up and harden with age, and every person who exercises is constantly creating more arteries for the blood to flow .... new arteries that are created have the same life span as the original ones. So, everyone you create today is a baby, and has to age to deteriorate ..... hence: exercise makes a person live longer.

This is awesome news ... not just for quads .. Alzheimers, for example, is caused from the shrinkage of brain cells, that finally die.
Guess what? These brain cells stay alive by firing of neurons within the Nervous System. Everything is dependent upon this ... we have to have electrical impulses to send messages .. we can't even think without this.

Oops, I forget to say ..... through the study with stem cells, what they are energizing is in theory the same as arteries, in the aspect that they are charging the blood to push.
In other words ... little blood cells in the vessels are being forced to do little exercises in there to push/drive the nerve tracks.
