my girlfriend just found out that she has chlamydia and has had it for almost a year now she has been bleeding but only at times when we are getting ready to have sex is this because of chlamydia and if so if she gets treated will it stop she also was taking birth control but has stop what's really going on
A) She needs to get herself treated for the chlamydia. Period. Aside from potentially spreading the disease to others there can be permanent, serious health problems that come from long-term exposure including becoming sterile.
B) You need to get tested and treated for the disease. No excuses.
C) She needs to report everyone she's been intimate with for at least the last year (probably longer) to whatever local health department is available so that those people can be contacted for testing. They may have contracted the disease the not even be aware, possibly spreading it further.
D) With her no longer on birth control regular menses cycles will resume. That's most likely where the bleeding is coming from but if you're only noticing it during intimacy you might be doing something to scratch or tear the interior of the vagina. Rough foreplay and fingernails are common culprits.
E) If she's no longer on birth control you'll have to look into other forms of protection. Condoms. Condoms. Condoms.
F) You both need to immediately find some kind of sexual education and learn how to responsibly handle yourselves. >.
Stop having sex. Immediately.
And don't ever have it again.
