I have really, really bad seasonal allergies.
For this I take a cup of hot green tea with 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar and honey from the local farmer's market.
What are some other cures for common colds, fever, headache, etc., that offer temporary or long-term relief.

Can't really think of any home remedies. But as for common colds I take airbourne tablets if I feel a cold coming on. It works like a charm.
Try cinnamon I usually drink it in my coffee for my sinus issues during the period my allergies act up.it also relieves the migraine pressure I get. Use it at least once a day.

''I have really, really bad seasonal allergies.''
If it's really allergies, then common cold remedies won't touch it - the doc can recommend some anti-histamines (I take it you want home remedies :-)))))).
I have these as well but noticed it was only when I was in a certain area especially in the summer time with flowers, pollens, etc. I never had them as a kid, just developed few years ago. If you leave the certain area, it just disappears.
Try to watch the pattern, like is it worse at a certain time of the day?, etc
This is a good advice ''As far as allergies are concerned, it may help to concentrate on foods that do not increase the levels of histamine in your body. ''
Common cold remedies, I've heard of most of the above work, like honey, lemon, ginger, green tea...
