So something weird happened last night, this has never happened before during sex.

Bf and I had great sex the first 3 times. Then we went in for round 4. He started to complain of hard to breathe so I said lets stop but he insisted on going. Finally we stopped and he thought he was having a hard attack. His chest hurt, shortness of breathe, hard to breathe, extreme fast heart beat. He's a healthy, very in shape man and 24, this has never happened to him. I was on top before this happened and I had to switch because I felt dizzy and like I was going to pass out. My heart too was beating fast and my chest tight, dizzy. I used to have panic attacks a lot when I was younger and this is what it felt like. I was worried about him but I knew he wasn't having one.

It's just weird that BOTH of us had symptoms like this? I'm 24 and also in very good shape, I do 30-50 miles of cardio a week!

These symptoms/episode lasted about 20 min and then he fell right asleep.

What do you guys make of this?? We did have a big Mexican feast I made earlier that night so maybe? He mentioned something that felt like heart burn too.

Yeah that is exactly what I told him and I just texted him again.

He's never had anxiety/panic attack history like I have had. I have no heart history issues in my family even if it's extended. He has diabetes on his mom side and the heart attacks (especially DURING sex) was his dads side, the other on his moms.

I think mine could have been a mimic/sympathetic but I was also feeling dizzy and like I was going to black out before he complained of any symptoms.

When he was lying down having issues when we finally took a break I held his hand and had him slow/concentrate his breathing, I had him count back and take deep breaths and smooth exhales and talked softly to him. Then I had him sit up and drink water slowly. He felt better after this and fell right asleep.

I did tell him I really wanted him to go to the doctor TODAY and tell the doctor his family history and exactly what happened.

Well no...why would I kid. I have chronic bronchitis and get it once a year, I'm anemic too. It doesn't happen often with the blood, few times a year at best but I HAVE told the doctor. Multiple times. He think it's because of the bronchitis and we did tests etc and he couldn't find any cause for concern and says I'm healthy. My blood pressure is perfect, on the low side, too. So I don't make a big deal of it but anyone else I seem to tell does!

I'm more worried about my bf than me, I know I'll be fine.

4 times in one night? Even for a marathon runner, that's excessive on aerobic fitness.

You trust your doctor? I would never trust mine, even cancer surgeons can be dead wrong.

...no, it's not "excessive."

The only time it'd be excessive is if the body wasn't capable of handling it due to lack of fitness or other varying health issues. Overall, there's really no "excessive" cardio of any kind here, especially if it's just 4 times in one night. That'd be a rough equivalent of an hour work out if you broke it down. An hour cardio isn't really much of anything. Comparing it to a marathon runner is lol.
