NO!!!
Ok, once more...
By giving up addictions, I don't mean DXP. You have to stay.
I mean like cigarettes, chocolate, coffee, drugs even...anything you've craved excessively? I know they say "mutable" placements are more prone to addictions. But what about fixed signs? Those of us who hold on to what we do until death? Sometimes literally?
Anyone have a miracle story? I could sure use one right now.

...it doesnt matter if you are mutuable or fixed if you smoke it usually will be a strong addiction...
Good point kris
I have a patch on right now. Although, I am starting to think it is just an expensive sticker.
I like to hear other peoples stories. I have been for the past two days and it does help.
What are you addicted to kris? An addiction doesn't necessarily have to be physically poisonous. Anything? Signed Up:

Two days! That's really good. This will sound stupid but the only real thing I'm addicted to is milk. I feel like my bones become brittle if I don't drink 2-3 glasses of milk for the day. It's weird, but thankfully it's healthy.
It if helps, within the last seven years, my mom, aunts, and two uncles quit smoking cold turkey after two decades of doing it. The gradual approach didn't work for them and for my mom, it was hard because she hates chewing gum so there wasn't much she could do to find a substitute. For them, it was really the fear of their health deteriorating. As they were in their 40s at this time, they had already suffered from other health afflictions such as excessive coughing or difficulty in breathing. It was at that point where they started to freak out. Also, one of my uncles suffered from a heart attack.
Obviously, you are still really young and you won't really have these side effects of smoking to be fearful of yet...but you are a Leo and at some point, you are going to sit and be really proud of each day that passes and ultimately, you're going to get stubborn about not falling back to your old habit. :-) Signed Up:

Hi LeoWith Cap,
Good to see you
Ever think about kicking the milk habit? Does the thought panic you? lol
.....For them, it was really the fear of their health deteriorating....
Same here. That, and I am tired of smelling like an ashtray.
.......you are going to sit and be really proud of each day that passes...
Each second
Thank you. Positive thoughts needed.

Hey purr...I think it's GREAT that you've given up smoking. I quit on March 6th, but then started up again a couple of days ago because the stress is unbearable (you know...sister and kidz, relationship over...etc.). However, Saturn will help you quit, just like it will help me quit, again.
I'm in a pissy mood where life is concerned. So I've decided to screw my routines, start smoking and eating and drinking the way I want until all that needs to be weeded out of my life is gone i.e. sister and kids (they're moving out June 1st) and love life (haven't talked to him yet, but I'm sure it's coming). I'm giving myself a deadline of june 1st when my life should be back on track.
I hate smoking, but unfortunately I only have the energy to pick up that cigarette instead of jogging (which I've been doing faithfully). I know this might sound nuts to some of you, but I've properly justified my actions and I'm confident that by June 1st, I will be back in control of my life

truthseeker,
I just noticed you and I have the same rising sign. And mercury placement. Everything you said is so funny only because lately I have been also going through "fuck it" moments too. Sometimes saying fuck it feels good, Ever see the movie Risky Business? lol
Maybe it's the saturn part. Trying very hard to get rid of what isn't working, at the same time clinging like there is no tomorrow lol

Hey purr...My b-day is July 23rd. I know that the worst of Saturn is supposed to be over, but it's not, and it won't be until after August. They say that you are faced with three different tests (acts) during Saturn's transit...I think that I'm enduring my second "test" right now.

Good morning truthseeker,
Mine is the 24th. I think the worst will be over when saturn is at least about 8 degrees away from your sun sign. Then there are also other leo placements to consider, if you have them.
Question. Do you feel like you lose your sense of humor? Especially the closer it gets in degrees?

Hey Purrr...
My Venus is also in Leo, so Love and Finance (along w/ discovering Self-Sun in Leo) have been the three biggest obstacles for me. And YES...my sense of humor is sometimes non-existent. When my sister moved in w/ me, all she could say during the first couple of months was that I was too intense, and needed to chill out. In fact, my whole family seems to think that I have an attitude and tell me that I need to relax. Also, I've been taking things more personally than I usually do (at work, at home, with friends, etc.) I just have no control anymore, and it's killing me.
How about you?

omg, A real astrology conversation
truthseeker,
You had a triple whammy too, even when saturn was in cancer. What you are going through would seem as similar to a saturn return as one can get without actually having one, huh? Maybe this means when your saturn return comes you will be a little prepared for it.
I had my saturn return in cancer, one degree later mercury and then a few degrees later my sun. During the saturn return/mercury part I was extremely focused on getting my shit together. Ended a relationship, moved 700 miles to come back home, found a better job etc... and only wanted my family. The saturn conjunct sun part is the same as you. Too intense, very serious and all of a sudden I am responsible for the housing of several people.
Wow, I wonder if you have your cancer and leo placements in your 11th house since you have virgo rising, do you know if you do?

Are you a quiet leo?

I'm pretty sure I have only leo in my 11th house. That's being affected by Saturn, also, in that I really haven't been spending much time with friends. In fact, I kinda feel like I need to make new friends because everyone I know is in an established and stable relationship of some sort, and don't have time for me
...jk. I just started grad school last fall, so I have been meeting a lot of new people, but I still pretty much just stick to myself.
I'm not a quiet leo...I'm more reserved and modest (virgo rising). I wonder, too, if saturn's transit in Virgo will affect me next year...if so, that will really SUCK because I also have Saturn in Libra in the 2nd house...Saturn for the next 4 years makes me want to cry! I don't know if you are seeing anyone, but I've noticed that my love interests over the past year have had their natal saturn in Leo...what's your take on that. Signed Up:

.... I wonder, too, if saturn's transit in Virgo will affect me next year....
I've thought about this too. The virgo part. Think of it this way, there will always be some kind of saturn transit. After it leaves Virgo, you will have your saturn return in Libra so add more years onto that...etc..
The transits that pack the most punch are the sun aspects and returns. Those are the ones to focus on because they can be life changing in the most obvious sense, I feel. When saturn transits your ascendant there may be some adjustments to your overall physical appearance, in virgo maybe means more gym time? (I hope!) Or physical health issues that require time and attention. The focus will be one you. If you have anything to add I am interested in what you have to say. Please.
The friends part, I started from scratch too. In fact I completely blocked myself off from making new ones when the aspect was strongest. I have 3 planets in the 11th.
I can't add more...cont. in next post...

As for the interest in other Leos for the past few years, you have venus in leo. I can see how you would attract them. And an aries moon. If they happen to be early leos like you there could also be an understanding that you are attracted to given the transits that are taking place now. There are a mess of serious Leos walking around out there right now wondering what the hell is wrong with them, lol
Yes, I am seeing someone. A scorp. He is at 1 degrees of his sun sign and is being hit in a different manner considering he is a fixed sign.

oops, I just reread your post. You said natal "saturn" in leo. Sorry. I have ADD.
If saturn is close to your venus, there is the stability factor of someone elses saturn in leo that you may be attracted to. In synatries, someone elses saturn on your venus is long term potential. But keep in mind the "saturn person" has lessons to learn in leo and may be a wet blanket for you. Unless of course there is something you feel you could learn from this person. An attraction to saturn could be an attraction to father figures. Hmmm.

hmmmm...that's intersting. Well, the particular person in question is certainly a wet blanket. Not to mention that our suns trine, my moon is in his sun (at an eerily close degree), his mars conjuncts my venus and my moon opposes his Libra...holy sh*t, right?!?! This relationship is intense, and his saturn exerts restrictions and limitations on me and our relationship. It makes things difficult for me because I don't know if I'm suppose to endure these trials and tribulations w/ him, since he is "my" saturn. Or, since saturn is supposed to help us weed things out that are unnecessary ino our life...am I supposed to rid myself of him as a lesson learned. We've been of and on for a little over a year now, and I really don't know what to do to get rid of him...he keeps coming back and I love him.
As far as your scorpio, any tensions between you two are an effect of the Grand trine in the skies "Jupiter in Scorpio, Saturn in Leo, Neptune in Aquarius (our relationship sector..yikes

It's funny that you say I might have lessons to teach him...I'm going through a growing phase myself, so what could I possibly teach him? Also, I do feel like the nurturing/mothering figure in his life...and I do like being needed and being able to ease his concerns (that damn Mars in Cancer!!!) but I don't want him becoming too dependant on me, especially when my life is going somewhere...OK...waiting for you to get it together, purr :-) BTW where are you from in Cali? See, that's just it. Maybe it's the way you handle your responsibilies and this "phase" he needs to learn from. The ability to take on responsibility and stay strong. Maybe even to stay positive. There are things leo he could be suppressing that you make him face without even realizing it. The outter planets are more subconscious.
As for the scorp, lol yeah. Saturn crossed him the same time Jupiter kissed him. What does THAT mean lmao!
Since we are having this grand cross, I noticed I feel "harder" than usual. More stubborn and unmoving. What about you? It should be so bad when the sun leaves Taurus. Truthfully, I am not looking forward to mars moving into Leo.

Hard and unmoving is me...my aries and i got into a fight, and I'm so pissed that I sent him a nasty e-mail, blocked his e-mail addresses from my inbox and changed my cell phone number (I lost it, anyway). It's a long story, but I'm in the mood NOT too budge on this, so this may be an "off" period for us...if it is, I can't see myself getting back with him. That's what I mean, I've read up on Saturn/Sun conjunctions, and it ain't pretty...but it's supposed to be most rewarding. With all that's going on w/ me, i really don't feel i have the strength to be in a relationship w/ him (Saturn and my damn low self-esteem and low confidence and insecurity :-)!!!

lizard,
Ok. Here's the thing. There is this major grand cross going on right now. Jupiter in Scorpio, Saturn in Leo, Sun in Taurus, Neptune in Aqua. To make a very long story short lol They are all in fixed signs. So people that ARE fixed signs I would imagine are going through some changes right about now. The more fixed signs in your chart the more significance this has. What effect this has on you really depends on where your fixed houses are in your chart. I noticed the people with strong "fixed" influence are behaving more like walls lately lol

aha, i don't have many fixed signs in my chart but still my life has changed dramatically(don't take this word too seriously, it just means extremely, haha) and it's the worst struggle i've ever had to go through, too. so, what's jupiter in scorpio? what does jupiter stand for? thanks for the explanation

..dramatically.. ...it just means extremely...
Sure. Come in here and subliminally call us dramamtic Mr. Scorpio. Extremely dramatic no less lol
Jupiter rules over higher learning/intellectual expansion. Benefits in a chart. Some link it to "luck" whatever that means. In Scorpio, I would have to say that the overall "desire" to learn beyond mercury is extremely driven right now. Where this is placed in your chart depends on your rising sign. So you have pisces rising. Chances are scorpio rules your 5th house. So this year, your benefits may lie in anything 5th house related. Children, creativity, sex (for pleasure as opposed to the scorpio connection, which has a deeper meaning) 5th house is fun
Make sense? Signed Up:

...and it's the worst struggle i've ever had to go through, too. so, ...
Since we are blaming the planets for our struggles at this time I also want to add that this may not have anything to do with Jupiter but with the fixed signs that challenge scorpio. Aqua, Leo, Taurus. It makes things harder. But having jupiter on your side is also a blessing while all this is happening.
On a more human note, the best things come out of struggling eventually. I know it may not seem like it now.

aw truthseeker (((hugehug)))) I know it!! Low everything. I read somewhere that when someone is experiencing a saturn transit their aura gets a little weaker. Now, I've never actually seen an "aura" the way it is described lol, but there is a low vibe. Drained.
I went through that whole "not budging" thing with my scorp once. I even disappeared for a very long period of time because I was so hurt. Moved to an entirely different city even, lol
If you ever want to tell me your long story, feel free. Send me a pm if it's personal. Saturn conjunctions aren't always bad. I think if the chart evens out in other ways it could work. Like that saturn trine he has with your moon. Not to mention that moon conjunction to his sun.
Outside things could make it more stressful too I suppose.
It sucks to be in love sometimes. You know you should leave but just WON'T. That voice is in your head is screaming WTF ARE YOU DOING?? lol You can see it clearly, but somehow you grew these invisible roots and can't move. What a nightmare actually, lmao!

As for my scorpio. He really has a lot on his plate right now. More than I do. He is hanging in there. I noticed he has it coming from all different directions. It isn't just one thing. It's funny how that makes sense. This is the strongest I've ever known him to be, as far as dealing with certain issues. I guess that goes hand in hand with what I was saying to lizard. The pressure gets put on and he just gets more focused. He has 3 scorpio placements and mars in aquarius so he gets a beating too.

Good morning purrr...I wanted to have my comments for you ready to go when you open dxpnet! What you said to lizard, i'm sure, was extremely helpful. I need to find out what's been going on w/ him, because I didn't know times were tough...I've just been complaining to him about everything, and not asking him about...him :-) His daughter is ADORABLE, also, and he's such a great guy...wish he were MY scorpio...I'd move to germany in 2 seconds flat LOL!
My ex-aries had Venus in Taurus and Saturn in Leo and Mars (I have to keep saying ex, or it will never happen:-)! He's basically an extremely talented artist who can't really focus on his work because it's not paying his bills. It's been frustrating for him because he has these goals, but not the staying power to make come to fruition (I guess that's where I come in, as far as pushing him...the steady leo). But I can only do so much, and it is draining for me w/ all that I've got going on...

I can tell you the whole story, but I don't what you mean by "pm." Anyway, having my sister w/ me is also draining (she's an aries, too). It's hard because I have no where to retreat and it's weighing on me. She supposed to be out by June 1st, and I don't know if I can make it that long.
Sometimes I don't know if I'm comin of goin w/ Saturn. He supposed to make us stronger, and since I only have MYSELF to depend on (whether it be to pay my bills or get out of bed), I can see the strength I've had to inherit in order to go about my day. But I'm not a psychic, and I don't know what I'm supposed to be doing...having Neptune in our relationship sector is certainly not helping, either (at least it's going retro this weekend...than clarity shall come, right?) I'm sorry to hear about your scorp, but I'm more curious to hear about some of the changes you've been going through.
