Do leos mean what they say

Hey I'm an aquarius my name is ashley I have this leo that I known from online for about 9 months now and we're just bestfriends but I like him a lot and we are close if you mean he does tell me when something's wrong in his life sometimes he ven came straight out and said the situation once and I didn't have to ask . But my point is 2 days ago late at night I was really depressed cause I've been going through a lot and I was finally breaking down I was going crazy thinking so much and being so so depressed so I texted him he wouldn't answer cause it was really late so I just vented and I said I'm so done with everything I've already cut and I just want to die so I'm gonna try to commit suicide . You don't understand how bad I was and the situation I was in so don't judge anyways I said that and I did try I did and it didn't work but that's the last message I sent to him and the next day he replies and he starts spamming me he kept calling my name "Ash!" "Ashy !!!" "stop it right now " "please be alive please " "live for me " then kept calling my name then kept spamming saying "please ashley ! I'm hurting right now " "answer me " " please be alive " "I'm so bad right now " then he called me by full name and kept saying please tell me your okay please tell me your alive I love you so much please be alive keep living for me stop thus for me think twice . And kept spamming and said I'm gonna pray for you to be alive . He just kept spamming and calling out my name ans saying please tell me ur okay please tell me ur alive I love you so much I'm hurting rn . I will ruin the lives of the people that effect you . And then I answered and he said thank god I couldn't eat well or do anything well today till I got your message . I don't know if he meant all that cause after that I texted him back am she answered but then I texted agian and he didn't answer and still hasn't answered I think I got him bad but he says he usnt mad so what happened and did he mean what he said and he only likes me as a friend right
Spamming? You claim he's your "best friend" so you reached out to him saying you were going to kill yourself. As anyone who cares about anyone of course he was going to reach out to you and see if you're ok.
It's odd you said spamming as if it was a nuisance. After you replied he was relieved. I'm not understanding why him not texting asap makes you question his sincerity?
Based on what you've said in several previous threads under your other username 'stars' I still think he cares about you and means what he says but just a friend. You clearly like him more than a friend and this is why you over analyze everything from him.
Maybe the attention he's given you had been a welcome distraction to whatever problems are going on offline for you and that's why you've developed stronger feelings for him. I would suggest you just be upfront with him and tell him your true feelings, however, currently you seem emotionally unstable and I think some time to yourself to figure things out may be what you need to do first.

Okay I'm not going to judge because my youngest sister seems to have the same issues as you. All I can say is, keep yourself busy. Get out of that room. Make new friends, Watch some TV.

If you were my little sister i would say dont focus so much on what is going on with him ad how he feels about you. try to work on how you feel about yourself and whats broken inside of you... I dont know whats going on with you but I hope that you are able to work through whatever it is. Take care!!!!!!!!!

Also a suggestion-
I got similar texts like that at 2am about a month ago- and the following day was very painful- I was having anxiety attacks the entire day- because i didn't where the person was or if they were okay.
If you really care about this person, show some type of basic consideration and understanding. Those are BIG statements you're making. Make sure the person is around to atleast acknowledge what your saying before you actually send something like that.
