THEY WILL EVEN PUT OTHERS DOWN, INDIRECTLY , ESPECIALLY WHEN THAT PERSON SHOWS STRENGTH. IT SEEMS LIKE AS LONG AS THEY HAVE THE SPOT LIGHT, ARE THE ONES IN CHARGE, THEY ARE FINE. THE MINTUE SOMEONE HAS IT, THEY RESPOND WITH JEALOUSY. I ALSO NOTICE THAT THEY ARE POSSESSIVE OVER THEIR MATES AND FAMILIES, AS IF THEY OWN THEM!!! THEY MAY EVEN PLAY PARTS IN HOLDING PEOPLE BACK BECAUSE THEY FEEL IT'S ONLY ONE WAY TO DO THINGS=THEIR WAY. LOL
I ALSO NOTICE THAT THEY ARE STRONG MINDED, WHICH IS FINE, BUT THEY TEND TO FEEL THAT OBJECTIVITY , SEEING THINGS FROM DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES, IS A FORM OF LOOSING SIGHT OF THEIR OWN PERSPECTIVES AND IT ISN'T. the only time i really get jealous of other peoples success is if they are around the same age as me, i don't really know why, maybe because i think to myself if they can do it i could and should be in their position (that's just how i feel honestly). i don't really put people down when they show strength, but i can show jealousy if they do but that just makes me want to compete with them and makes me want to be on their level, just more motivation for me (even though that is kind of a silly reason). i don't really strive to be in the spotlight, but i do slightly feel jealousy and coldness when somebody tries too hard and goes really out of their way just for the spotlight and succeed because i know i could probably get the spotlight that way if i wasn't inhibited.
i am pretty possessive of family and friends but that's just because i feel very attached to them and love them so in turn i don't want anything bad happen to them and if i could prevent it in any way i would definately try to help them and if they are confronted i will definately stand by and defend them whoever the person or persons are. as for seeing things objectively, i am in a way self-centered in a way where i want to see things my way through my emotions only because it's the strongest i relate to, i can't really explain much on that. i'll admit my mistakes but i stand by my convictions until i am proved wrong because i identify with my beliefs very strongly, pride gets in the way of me.
as for appearance, i do try to appear confident even if i'm feeling down in those moments because one of the most important things to me are impressions. i care too much about the impressions i make on people so i basically already presented myself as confident to the people i meet so i wouldn't want to appear anything lower than that, i dunno, that's just a insecurity i guess you could say. i do get offended at times because i identify myself strongly with everything related to me, like it's another extension of myself so sometimes i feel as if it's just a general criticism to myself, i can't really help that sometimes. the only time i really need approval is if i am given a job and i work really hard at it and when i'm done i feel proud of what i've done and it would be nice appreciation is shown after a job well done. that's my personal experience being a leo

Remember that once you compete , you have already admitted that the other person is a winner. Always remember that... Leo's are posessive over their men, over their friends and can be very territoral at times. For example, every hairdressor I 've ever had was a leo! Good at doing hair, yes in deed , but posessive as hell. I mean one of my hairdressors, whose like family told me that, " your hair don't like noone but me". Crazy shit!! My other friends was doing my hair at one time and at times when I did my hair myself or let someone else put hands on it, she would freak out and make all types of interrogative comments, such as, " i see your hair is done who did it?" who did your hair" once I stopped wearing my hair in the special way she could only do it, and moved on, she acted as if our relationship had changed, amde a bunch of cracks toward me and was kind of salty abiut the whole thing.and then she started getting mad whenever i didn't let her do it, and that's when i cut her loose, couldn't have that type of energy in my hair. My last hairdressor and current one,is a leo-virgo cusps. He's the best, no posessiveness, no hang ups. Then again, he is very spiritually connected , a big difference. I think spirituality and religion does leos justice because it helps re-shape their egos and pride issues....

Okay ....it is true Flygrl .....I work with this gay Leo male and for no apparent reason he hates me. I think it is for a few reasons.

1 - When I am out with fellow colleagues it appears the straight men he is non chalant chasing ....are into me. Therefor he thinks I am cock blocker .....however it is not my fault he is falling for straight men. If he took the time to get to know me, I dont date men I work with anywho.

2 - I quickly earned the attention of upper management on the short time at my job and have been asked to sit on a few special projects. I have the ear of our senior staff and he hates his job or at least he complains about his job.

Bottom line he is unhappy with himself and I try not to take it to personally. I have done nothing to him to be treated as such. So yes it is true, Leo's can get jealous of other people. So funny when one girl asked why don't you like her .....he really could not answer. I told her he just needs to get over his period and move on. LOL

I know a few Leos that have similar characteristics as you described FLYGIRLCHI. A lot of them are EXTREMELY controlling, but I've noticed that the ones with less fixed signs or less fire signs (in the major planets) are not like this. Oh and I've definitely noticed that some do get very jealous of someone else's success (especially if they know them).

I tend to get along well with Leos because they can be very good friends. But I had this Leo roommate one year who was like "Leo to the 10th power" lol.

This Leo actually liked one of our guy friends and when they started talking she was extremely possessive and protective of him. He practically stopped hanging out with all of us (my friends) because she didn't want him too (he was a Libra- go figure ;P). Myself (being overtly outspoken) addressed her about this, but that's another story lol. She would also get very VERY jealous if any of us acquired any sort of success or attention. Oh and don't let me get started with the need for constant attention with the opposite sex, talk about ditching your friends...

But yeah she was the worst, I've only met a few Leos that displayed those negative qualities in such high doses...

Overall I do like Leos 🙂

I think Leos are somewhat driven by their EGO & by their own inner independence & they are good at wanting to feel superior because of their awareness that others often look up to them. I've come to know alot of Leos and I ask them these same questions when I notice some of these same things. And alot of them tell me that they don't feel bad for doing what they can to make it to the top spot because half of the time the people that are complaining about this very same feature, would be the same ones to push others out of the way to make it to the top if they were in a Leo's position or atleast in the same situation. Leos love the fact that they are so warm hearted & giving (sometimes to the extreme), & they are extremely aware of this about themselves & sometimes I think they use this feature about themselves to their own advantage sometimes when facing heat from others. They like for others to look up to them & to lean on them (for strength or financial gain) but when those same people try to criticize what a Leo feels is their greatest attribute, they are quick to remind you of the things they helped you out with. Leos, like Aquarians take great pride in who they are, flaws & all & alot of people can't seem to understand this.

Well, different leos respond differently. It still boils down to the individuals personality. One's own security or insecurities, one's values, beliefs, and so forth. k well as a leo im fine sharing my lime light although its something really important to me, im normaly defencsive wen people point out atributes im uncomfortable with it makes me feel self contiouse and out botherd because pride is very important to me. if my partner isnt smother but lets me have individual and spiritual freedom all is good as long asd there is a good bond and im apreciated. i will always care for my partner and i am loyal. and i probably mean well and am just very determind to do as i think is right cuz i realy belive that its right.. however im open to compermise if persented in an agreeable and respective manner
its verry important to me that i know wer we stand because im left feeling forgotten and outof place and self contiouse wich is a problem. respect is very important in a relationship ... leos are grown up and perhaps if you went about treating them equal mindedly they would show you the same respect that is the key to my leo side
and i will let my partner have complete individual freedom and i will praise them and love them and tend and care for them.... i think ill be a good mom
