i finally decided i hate the impulsive distancing

this is just me venting. i don’t care if it becomes an active thread, i just don’t feel like keeping it bottled up. been talking to a leo for about 4 months now (i’ll post his other placements at the bottom of this rant) and he does this thing sometimes where he just disappears and doesn’t talk to me for not an extended period of time, but for maybe two days, sometimes three. ik he gets sad and won’t really tell me why, so i mainly hate this unprepared distancing bc i just wanna make sure he’s ok. he hasn’t really been on social media either.. ik it’s just probably him taking a break and me being needy but i’m just used to constantly communicating w/ him and i miss him easily. i haven’t physically seen him in a week so the communication made that fine, but now that he’s basically busy or taking a break it’s like he isn’t there and i really don’t like going on without him there anymore. i guess it puts things in perspective on my feelings towards him. he sent me one message yesterday in response to my ig story telling me i looked pretty and that was it. i got him a book from one of his fave authors and i see him this week and can’t wait to give it to him, i’m just being impatient bc i like him 😭 and it’s the first time i admit that i do. i show it but never say it. i managed to drunk text him an entire thesis on why i appreciate him and idk what he’ll respond to that but whatever. ik this sudden distancing is common w/ one of his placements, a lot of people in my life share it so i’m used to it but it just bothers me bc i like him in a different context. did our synastry chart and we have a south node-ascending aspect and usually the ascending gets more attached so i guess this is it. sigh lol

Oh that’s so much Leo in his chart and aqua moon makes him so cold. I say he disappears cause he loves getting attention and making those dramatic entrances and mysterious disappearance.

I love cancers but damn they can be batshit crazy with intense emotions too, mixing that with Scorpio Mars when Mars controls anger and sex, he’s such a firecracker. I think it’s good he’s got that Aqua moon cause it’ll help balance his super heightened feelings.

i think the aqua moon does him good too, it gives him much needed rationality. he’d be way too dramatically intense if that air placement wasn’t there lol. aqua moons/risings aren’t cold w/ me, actually, they open up w/ me quite often, it’s usually just a matter of WHEN they decide to that’s the mysterious element. i come across these people very often and i have the grace of comfort that comes w/ my cancer ascending, so it’s no big issue.

Have you had sex yet? Sometimes that intense side doesn’t come out until you have sex, good or bad, it just brings some of those feelings out and some men can’t control it after, especially with some water in his chart.

not yet. we’ve done a lot of sexual things and oral has been thrown in the mix, but actual sex no. we’re taking baby steps mainly bc he’s putting how i feel into consideration before anything, so he leaves all the sexual aspects on my terms. last year was a mess for me romantically, and bc of that i’m just more skeptical and need a little more time to come around to people; he understands that and leaves it all up to me. he’s very good to me regardless of this, and as of late i’ve highly considered finally having sex so i’ll definitely be on the lookout for behavioral changes after. i’m usually the one that’s really affectionate and more prone to be sentimental, not always but every once in a while, so to see him exhibit that will be quiteeee the difference

i resonate w/ the scorpio energy but only bc it’s my moon placement. when it’s more at home in a mars placement i feel like the devil comes out to play way more. i don’t even know anyone but him w/ it so i’m really going in blindly

I'd say be careful.

This is my main concern.

Scorp Moon can be very sensitive and hold on to grudges or pain and these things are felt very deeply they can also be manipulative like any other Scorpio placement.

The danger I see is that this person could hurt you or disappoint you without intending and that may cause you to become manipulative or try to get back at him in some way... and if he senses that you're deliberately trying to harm him or get back at him for something things could turn ugly, like scary ugly. I'm not saying everyone with Scorp Mars is a scary mofo but when they are scary they are really scary and can be sooo extra with their need to get back at you and win at all costs.

i can see what you’re saying. the most i’ve really given when i was disappointed w/ him was the silent treatment but he dragged what was wrong out of me and we talked it out. he doesn’t make me want to be so damn vindictive all the time. that doesn’t mean i won’t ever get upset, but i’m learning to not take shit so personally bc of him, and i need to learn to be able to take a step back and reflect more often. but if anyone INTENTIONALLY hurts me it all gets thrown out the window and he knows that. i think we both proceed w/ a LOT of caution w/ each other lol. but what you said will definitely stick around in my mind. anything else i should know w/ scorp mars?

talked to him about it and i’m sure he has seasonal affective disorder, he told me this time of year always gets him pretty down. as someone w/ diagnosed mental illness i offered my advice as far as coping and help, but you can’t really force anyone to do anything, so he said he’ll keep it in his mind and tell me if he ever takes me up on the help i suggested. i just reassure him when i can that he can tell me ANYTHING and i care for him and will always be here for him

If a Leo likes you, we won't typically ghost on you. Usually the only reason a Leo will ghost is because we are stressed from work or school. We'll only leave though so that we can fix the issue then come back. We usually won't make leaving interminttently a habit.

That Aqua Moon, though it may make him rational, also makes him detached from his deeper emotions. While you may not have too many issues with Aqua Moons being cold towards you, that can change when the emotions become too deep. he still checks up on me esp on social media so i can’t complain as if he leaves me completely high and dry. i too have a sun opposition moon placement (taurus sun opposite scorp moon) so i completely understand the conflicting emotions/mentalities, i guess it also puts my role in dynamics on the forefront, considering i get insight as to how i can be without realizing. but the hot/cold aspect does ring true, it’s like he doesn’t want to let me know the true depths of how he feels.

sometimes i feel like it’s just me. maybe i’m just too paranoid of losing him and that’s why it bothers me.

Right your opposition, though confusing, doesn't necessarily hinder your deep emotions. It probably makes you more guarded though as you oscillate between wanting a calm environment and an intense one. For him the opposition creates an oscillation between wanting logic and wanting passion. Both Leos and Aquas can be guarded with our emotions, but one is fine with being aggressive while the other typically isnt.
