Leo loves attention??

I keep reading this Leos are attention-seekers n like to at d center...
Both my parents are Leos. My mom do loves attention (a lot), but can't say d same for dad.
Now I'm into a guy who's a Leo too.
Do all Leos loves to be in the spotlight?
No. Leos hate to b d center of d limelight. We r shy n can't stand d attention.
Sorry BigGirlPanties but you are so wrong, I have never met a Leo that doesn't want the limelight, thats what they live for, they King/Queen of the jungle
I think we can agree that all attention is not good attention. To say Leos love the spotlight would not be entirely accurate. If we are in the spotlight because we are being reprimanded, disciplined or yelled at, then no we do not like that.
We like compliments and in order for you to be complimented you must be noticed. So ...
Job well done
Cute shoes
Nice car
Pretty smile
Great ass
All of these affirmations (because we already knew) are what we want.
A private compliment is no less appreciated then one shouted from the highest mountain top. It is not the spotlight...it is simply did you notice.
There is a Huge difference between the leo's who need/seek attention and those who enjoy it when it is given but don't need nor seek it.

I would like to think otherwise but unfortunately from my experiences with them, yes, they definitely are. Every Leo I know takes a lot, and I mean A LOT of pictures of themselves. I know one in particular who will update her profile picture on facebook on a daily basis, she has one picture that has like 100 likes and she will change it every other day it seems to try to get more likes, compliments, praise, etc. She thinks she is just the hottest shit. When she noticed how popular my artwork was becoming on facebook she started drawing and she was pretty much just copying my style , and when she wasn't getting as much attention for it, she stopped doing it, and just resorted back to more selfies to quench her attention thirst. She couldn't stand seeing the spotlight on somebody else. For a sign that is supposed to be so creative and rules the heart, that seems like a very unoriginal and superficial thing to do. I'm not saying I don't like her overall as a person I just think she and most Leos I know in general do tend to be extremely self centered and attention seeking, whether they realize it or not. Oddly enough I get along with them for the most part though.

What's your sign?

Well . . . at least she changes things up.

I think the comment was catty, altogether. Tongue
That LEO-girl had the spotlight to begin with, seems to be the source of frustration-- but tries her hand at art, like this girl ^, and it's interpreted as "spotlight stealing", instead of admiration.

It's not so much attention I want as it would be admiration, and most of all I'd rather have respect.

+1 I am not so much into social attention and prefer not to be in the limelight when it comes to social interactions. I do like recognition in work, character, and life
Leo love to get attention after they are sure about something, for example after they got into a relationship, they love to get all the atttention from the loved one. If their loved one not give them this attention, they will feel lonely and they will desperately need love and consider that their partner is not the right person to give them this. In this point, Leos are at a step to cheat their partner, in the scope to get some attention and passion, which their partner don't really have time to give it to them. But this Leos, don't want to exit from this relationship, they keep it, but just find what is missing in other side, they hope in one day things will come back at normal in their actual relationship. Leos suffer is no get attention in a relationship. But even they suffer from this, they are ready to sacrifice to keep this partner because Leos love real and intense someone . They are attracted by beauty in specal, but also by the social position of their partner. For example if a Leo woman met a goverment man and he is handsome , for sure he wins Leo's heart forever and Leo is ready to sacrifice much for his love. Leo never wants a man just for his beauty or just for his social position, Leo always want both. Leo is feeling good going near a people who has a good job , meeting personalities, taking important dinners, etc. Leo will be sunshine at this meeting and most of attention will come over her ( in special for women this) because of her beauty and inteligence , diplomacy also. This things come naturaly to a Leo. a libra is the right man near a Leo in this moments. Libra will feel good having a beautiful Leo woman near by him and Libra will feel good seeing that his bosses, collegues and other peoples who take part at that dinner, will appreciate his Leo woman !

I make art because I am passionate about it and always have been. She does it for attention, plain and simple. I don't care about having the spotlight, it just happens to come to me because I actually have talent, unlike (some, not all) leos who deliberately try to search for it. I'm sorry but it is true whether you would like to admit it or not. I can't "admire" a person that is that insecure, full of themselves, and fake.

But you sure can resent the hell out of them. Winking

I meant that maybe she admired *you*-- but instead of interpreting it as such, you felt threatened.
And since you were (more than a little) jealous to begin with-- "whether you would like to admit it or not"-- you now appear to be harboring a deep-seated resentment against her, of which she is probably unaware. Tongue

Pffftt.
Big misconception I think. We don't like being in the spotlight- you wouldn't know it but we are really very shy. But we often find ourselves in the spot light because we have huge personalities!

A chart's a big place. Winking
Other items in a chart will exert a degree of influence on the Sun sign. A strong Saturn, for instance, might make him a little more reserved; certain planetary aspects like Mercury Conjunct Saturn, can also have a moderating effect, and so on.

Agree with this.
Thing is, I love attention if I'm feeling 1,000% confident- anything short of that and I will run from being the center of attention because I'm self conscious.
I think you mean attention towards a man you're dating though- got to be a little careful here. Let him give you more attention than you give him. Like it or not, I've never met a Leo man who didn't love to chase you like a prize. Give him attention, but let him give you more- make sure it's balanced. Make sense?

Based on what I know, when Leos act like "copycats" its more because they admire the person/the person's talent.
I have been playing the piano since I was 3. I was able to play Fur Elise (the real version, not the simplified ones for kids) when I was 5... The other day my Leo ex was begging me to teach him how to play the piano and was asking questions regarding how long it will take for him to be good, how much I typically charge for a piano lesson, etc... He just thought it was cool that I play the piano and he wanted to be cool too... LOL
I'm sure he was not trying to steal the spotlight and he knew he can never be as good as I amLaughing

Get out!
My bff in junior high (aries, and the smartest person I've ever known) played piano beautifully, and after watching her play Fur Elise, I begged her to teach me.
And yes, you're right about the "cool factor"-- I was in awe.
I did NOT want piano lessons-- none of that-- just wanted to play *that* song.
God love her, she taught me and amazingly, I can still play it-- but not like she can.
She was good at anything/everything she put her mind to. smile

That's a gift, if you had that kind of dexterity at five (I'm totally impressed, btw)-- but some do-- pretty amazing. smile

This child-- try to get your chin off of the floor after watching-- never seen anything like this.
And he's really cute. Big Grin
