Leo Moons vs Leo Suns

What's your experience having a Leo Moon? How do you relate to Leo Suns?
Is your Moon easily expressed through your Sun or is there a struggle between them?

The Moon certainly isn't in any debility when in Leo, and Lunar Leos are a lot of fun; they're very warm, expressive people. But when you attach Leo to the planet of the intimate self and emotions (among other things), there's a tendency toward over-expression, and drama for drama's sake. After all, it's a Watery planet in a Fire sign. Powerful stuff.
When Leo Moons harness this energy correctly, they'll live and love LARGE, and make sure you get the best of that when in their presence.


I like your description. I always find your posts to be very informative and even enlightening at times.
For me personally, I think my Leo moon may be helping me to lighten up a bit. I tend to come across as too serious sometimes (depending on my company) and I think my moon placement helps me to loosen up. Though I'm still learning about astrology and how placements play a role with personalities etc. I like to think that my moon placement helps to keep me balanced.
As for Leo Suns ... I ADORE LEOS! I have waaaay too many close friends and family members under this sun sign to not and I have yet to meet a Leo sun that I did not get along with. Both my sisters are Leo suns and they are awesome and we're all super close. Life really is fun when you have Leos in it! Big Grin

@deathnirvana I kind of know what you mean about Night vs. Day, I have the reverse Sun/Moon so it's cool to hear how the opposite works for others.

@seraph Aaah yeah I was wondering how that would work considering the watery-ness of the Moon. I'm still working to understand how all the major planets work together so it's helpful to see how the signs express themselves differently in different placements. I appreciate you sharing smile

@metalaquamonkey That's really cool to know that your Moon and Sun work so well together! Especially considering they're opposites, but I can see how they could balance each other out. Funnily enough I have a lot of Aquas in my life too. I love how they march to the beat of their own drums, owning who they are without apology. One of my favourite traits about them

Look into your Moon aspects (if you haven't already.) They'll point to the various shades and colours of your moon. What house is it in?


It is in the 6th house, I remember from the time another Leo Mooner asked on another thread. I think she was a Sag Sun Leo moon and her name is Lheesa or something. I forgot how she knew my moon was in the 6th house but she was helpful.
I'll definitely look more into my moon aspects as suggested as well as the other placements I have. Some of this I'm understanding better, however I can see I still really do have a lot to learn.

It's kind of funny that with Leos I have yet to meet one I dislike but with fellow Aquas it's hit or miss with me. Lol Well I'm glad you have Aquas in your life that hopefully are cool. Some of us can be pretty self righteous know it alls and that can be so damn annoying! Lol smile

@Jynja I think there's definitely something to that, I wonder if it's that it felt volatile and chaotic to me. Anyone who expresses themselves similarly usually has me shying away.

@Seraph Wow... I didn't realize how in-depth chart interpretations can be. I see I'm going to have my homework cut out for me as I look at my houses and planets!

@metalaquamonkey There was only one 'bad apple' in my Aqua bunch, but there's always one wherever you go LOL Otherwise I found they're some of the easiest and most fun people to connect to: curious, open-minded, intelligent, loyal. Some of my favorite peeps hehe

I get along with Leo moons, but my moon throws off my Leo sun so it's confusing to explain.
For example, Leo moons are down for fun. They don't really care what it is for the most part, as long as it's epic or fun. That relates to my basic personality. I like fun, and I like things that are epic, but unfortunately there are like 100 other variables to having fun.
In my opinion Leo moons actually do all the things I wish I had the time or energy to do, and it's somewhat annoying. It's like they don't care, where as I'm trying to decide if the fun is worth my time and effort.

Not gonna lie, but sometimes I wish I could trade it for an earth moon. But the one good thing is that having Leo Moon helps me to stay positive.
I have a mix of primarily earth, fire, and air (some water as well). I think I relate the best to someone with a similar mix.


Interesting! My signs are primarly fire and water, maybe that's I've found myself drawn to earth and air signs, to balance that out.

This is a good point. My chart is mostly water and earth, and most of my closest friends are air and fire.

That's a lot of Leo, seems like it'd be a really interesting match with your Taurus Sun. How does your Leo come out vs. how does the Taurus in you come out?
I like your comment about noticing your Sun/Rising as you get older, I've started to notice that I'm settling into my Scorp Moon a lot too compared to when I was younger. Wonder if that's a common occurrence for people, for certain aspects to become stronger over time.

I'm a Scorpio sun with a Leo moon and I certainly think my Leo moon takes the edge off my Scorp darkness and seriousness lol. I'm a lot more... outgoing maybe? Mainly just upbeat and positive around others . I tend to make friends everywhere I go. My Scorpio traits are so strong and I don't know know what what I would do without a nice Leo moon to balance me out a bit. I love to have fun and have a good time. I love having those few loyal friends in my life and I'm very loyal to them. The older I get, the more evident my Leo moon traits are. It's really neat. It's a great balance for me because it helps keep things a bit more positive. I've met some pretty vindictive, hateful Scorpios. All in all, I could cover a lot here, but I LOVE my Leo moon. My sister is a Leo and we get along just fine (:

I'm also an Aquarius Sun/Leo Moon, my Leo Moon is actually dominate at times, so I take GREAT pride in being different. In other words, if I don't keep myself in check I can become a self-absorbed asshole, BUT I do a great job of hiding it.
With my Aquarius side I love to do things differently, and instead of just living and let living my Leo Moon allows me to flaunt my various different achievements, which I am working on not doing and being more humble, but some times I just have to toot my own horn.
My Grandmom is a Leo Sun and don't get me wrong I love her, but I just about dislike everything about her, her moon is in I think Pisces or something along those lines and I just get so mad with her, but I love her dearly. We always come back and hug and make up.
