OMG...My mom is a full blown Leo!

I don't know how else to start this but I'm an Aqua with Leo mother...I know, crazy and no, we don't get along.

Out of curiosity, I did her birth chart for the first time. I never bothered until now. Sun, Moon, and Mercury in Leo. Shoot me!!!!!

My mother and I butt heads like you wouldn't believe. EXTREMELY difficult for us to get along. I believe it will never get better. It's been a love/hate relationship since I started puberty (haha). We're just very different people. Very. Although, she's an awesome mom. She leaves cooked food every single day before us kids get home, spoils us...I guess we take her for granted sometimes.

I just thought I'd share because they say opposites can work out but I don't think it does work out when the opposite signs are held by people of the same sex.

my mother is: wow, I just looked something up...apparently it states she is a Scorp. all this time I was thinking she was cusp and a Sag. but knew that she acted as an overbearing Scorp. most of the time.

Her moon is in Libra, mine is in Aqua.

Her Mercury (not sure how this relates) but hers is in Scorp. and mine in Leo

we butted heads so many freaking times its not even funny.
we never really got along.
she constantly made me cry as a kid.

you would think with our water pairings and moon pairings that all would be swell.
not so.

i think she was cold because of her upbringing, but geez-

Youre 18, and there is a lot going on with you and her I am sure as you come closer to the age of leaving the nest, if you havent already.

we dont really understand fully why are parents are who they are until we reach an age where things just sort of click, a universal understanding of human relations and even then it is vague...

we love our parents - and should...

Aqua and Leo are opposites. I have a close friend that is a Leo...she gives incessant advice that I dont want or is over the top opinionated and I have to bite my tongue in order not to shut her up

also she is born in the year of the Pig- so am I and so it states that these two dont get along- duh.

you know it took that woman years to tell me she loved me (on a regular basis). I mean i tell my son almost every day even when I want to send him to China for adoption (we take enuff of their's, fair trade)...

i disagree. i get along with aqua females really well. but she is your mom - therein lies the problem. spending too much time around aquas drives me nuts (& vice versa, obviously). plus, i have the same prob w/my mom, who's a libra. when i'm around her a lot, we fight. but when i'm away, we get along fine.

BASICALLY, a lot of people can't "truly appreciate"/get along with their moms until they're not living together. especially the more independent types.

I know many successful Aquarius Leo relationships, in family friends and in love. I know signs that are apparently meant for each other that don't get along at all. I guess its all about finding that connection, or even just wanting that connection between polar signs. Its kind of neat though, how Leo and Aqua are kind of Alpha and omega as the Leo age was the first and Aquarian Age is the last.

I agree ElectroAqua, and I also believe all people own and exhibit all characteristics, but some folks express, stronger and/or more frequently, certain characterstic(s), depending on what sign they are.

I have an aqua moon...a Leo friend that I can only take in doses.
we used to hang quite a bit but the older we get the more opinionated we are

I have several friends with Moon in Leo
a Cappy friend to my Cancer with a Leo moon to my Aqua.
we were inseparable for a long time and were the best of friends.
we were like ying and yang I guess. we had a lot of similarities, but a different approach. when I was a little over the top she would bring me back to earth and when she was a stick in the mud, I urged her to lighten up.

Another friend is Gem./Leo we start out hanging with ea. other and going great and then after awhile...i get the feeling she needs to "fly" and I just want to go myself (inexplicable tension) but not in a bad way.

AquaSun I came out of the womb disliking my mom, we clashed but yet she gave me a lot of freedom at a very early age which helped, she learned early on to leave me alone, when I was your age I couldn't stand my leo mom, I hated her, I resented the decisions she made growing up and the list goes on and on and on, I never liked anyone she brought home and I can count on one hand how many men she brought around us which was only 3 and I hated them all, I had ownership issues, I have a leo moon, guess I ran off the other 2 and ladies guess who stuck around...the Aqua man for almost 12 or 13 years they dated, and it took me dayum near 10 years to like him, he was cool but again I had territory issues and when I turned 21 him and I began to become cool but they broke up so I didn't get to know him better.

My mom and I didn't officially become close until my late 20's, for myself I was the one to yield, I was the one that made the decision to get along with my mom and it was 200% worth it, she was loyal to a T and has the most cuddly cheeks and hugs and talk about entertainment...we call her the human entertainment center, she is so much fun.

I decided to let all my guards down and bow to the Queen b/c I wanted to love my mom, I didn't want to hate her so I let go and do you know this woman has loved me like no other. When I let her lead she actually turned her heels around and wanted me to join in, take on leadership roles and make decisions.

leo women can be very fair and giving but from my experience she has to trust, she has to know you love her and you gain trust by showing the lioness that your willing to yield and let her run the show, a true lioness will not take advantage of that power, she will actually share the role with you.

theres hope...I know if I can sit here and say were best friends then theres hope for other leo/Aqua relationships.

I have to admit, I have been known to get people to spill their guts, I have this way of creating safety and gaining confidence quickly, my leo's brother was spilling his guts to me about him after spending the day with me lol!

of course I'm not manipulative with it and I don't push my way into someone's life or use it against them unless I'm fixed...then thats another issue d:
