Scorpio female, Leo male - help!

Hi guys,
So I am a Scorpio female who has recently met a Leo male in a professional environment. When I first met him, through a mutual friend, he was extremely aggressive and forward in the conversation, to the point that our mutual friend was shocked at his behaviour. I was very attracted to him initially, but also caught off guard extremely.
I saw him on and off after that and every time I saw him our conversations would be extremely intense and fast-paced, though he was never as aggressive as the first time, would be quiet a lot or say slightly awkward things - I assume it is just nervousness. When I see him in a group of people he takes on the same aggressive stands (which I like!) and is very forward with me, extremely flirtatious, maintains complete eye contact, and has an uncanny ability to remember everything I say. Usually in these settings I am more quiet and subdued and just take him in. However when I run into him alone he is almost a completely different person, very inhibited and held back and nervous - and I just don't know what to do about this.
It seems like no matter what I try I can't get this guy to open up or have a serious conversation, I'm not sure if he's ever been in a serious relationship before as he seems to have huge inhibitions or walls up and a facade of being hard as nails - which he is blatantly not. I tend to call him on this a lot and it seems like any time I try to talk about anything substantial like his family, past relationships, his inhibitions, etc. he completely closes up, but as soon as the conversation moves to something stupid like TV or gossip or sports - he completely opens up and is able to regain control and composure.
WHAT DO I DO????????

you can't force it, even if he isn't hard as nails on the inside, he is on the outside so it'll be difficult to just expect him to open up to you. he sounds like me; as in there has to be a 'warming up' process where you eventually get more comfortable each time you are with a certain somebody and will slowly open up. this can be a long process but i can tell you it will probably be worth it; the more inhibited folks tend to have the most interesting things goin on in their noggins Winking. if you have the patience for this 'warming up' process then all the luck to you, and try to be a comfortable person towards him to speed things up.

patience, patience, patience. don't push or force it. go with the flow and let things progress naturally. if he likes you he'll get there. he doesn't trust you enough yet to really open up and get all sensitive cuddly.

Lighthearted conversations all the way, make him laugh, be confident, self assured and don't give him too much attention..watch him come to you in his own sweet time...and oh boy, it will be worth it Winking I was with mine for 7 years..go get him tiger Winking rarrrrrr to the leo boys..
