Snooze

I need help. I hit snooze at least 5 times every morning. My alarm clock subtracts a minute everytime I hit it so at first I get 9 minutes, then I get 8 minutes then 7 but the time I finally get up it is 45 minutes after the initial alarm.
What have I tried?
I set it an hour earlier so but I ended up pushing snooze 9 times (thats the max)
I put it on the other side of the room forcing me to get out of bed and walk over to hit snooze. I ended up getting back in bed.
Why this is a problem in my life...Every morning, I say I am going to make breakfast and pack my lunch. I don't have time. I can't pack my lunch the night before because I don't know what I am going to want to eat until I wake up.
The result..I spend $ 5.00- $ 6.00 on breakfast everyday and $ 8- $ 10 on lunch. This is 75-100 dollars a week times 4 weeks. $ 350- $ 400-That's 4 new outfits !!!
My co-workers offer suggestions but nothing has helped. I go to bed like an old lady already.
exercise more often + no caffeine and/or carbs after sunset.
I had that problem, then I got an alarm with no snooze button.
One chance only to get up...and I don't feel as groggy in the morning after slamming the button 7 or 8 times either

So simple. I tend to over complicate things. Thanks Wynter. That was similiar to the Capricorn that I sit next to at work suggestion....He said just get up the first time. Problem solved. I rolled my eyes.

I understood that. What I suggested was to help you improve the quality of your sleep, so you can hopefully find it easier to wake up.
I'm not sure who knows this, but for multiple reasons, I experience (lifelong, thus far) chronic idiopathic insomnia. Different reasons and different impacts, yes. But some things I've done may help you.
Try to wake yourself every day at a particular time. Yes, even on off days, weekends, and days without sleep the night before. Get used to guessing what you want in the morning. Our ancestors never had this luxury; choices of food with the certainty of eating in the am, disposable income, the ability to even have 'time', ability to 'sleep in'.
Light therapy. Multiple devices with multiple alarms. Each with different frequencies.
The thing that has really helped me has been on the verge of flunking out of college.. twice. Sleeping in now equals years of time wasted along with >40k.
Ultimately, don't baby yourself; Wynter's suggestion is the most sound.
I think snooze buttons make you feel worse - set the alarm for the time you HAVE to get up at and you will get up then, and feel better for it.
Thanks guys. I only hiot snooze 2 times this morning. I am making progress. I am tired though and I slept for 7 and 1/2 hours.
I do have an I-phone. So I will look for the app. I will also look into an alarm clock with no snooze.
I might even go for a walk when I get home for some exercise.
I am becoming increasingly dependent on caffeine though.
OMG I FORGOT ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT CHANGES I'VE MADE.
**this is seriously the best alterations I've ever made in my life and highly suggest that everyone uses it, sleep problems or not)

I can totally understand what you are going through. I work at a market with a deli, seafood, and bakery and ALWAYS buy lunch. It's been a year and almost a half and the amount of money I've spent on food there... I don't want to know. Even though I work the late shift, I'm in the habit of buying food there cause its convenient.
However, I believe your problem to be not waking up early enough to pack it. Pack it the night before.
Honestly, I feel like a bigger problem is us Leos LOVE those slow lazy mornings. Waking up while the sun is completely up as if it's been awaiting you. Its rays beam through your window and you feel its warmth. And if you are waking up beside your lover. Pfffftt. Forget work. You got morning sex to do, then coffee and cuddling, a peaceful massage, then a playful wraslin' around followed by more morning sex, and then breakfast of course, more coffee, then you have to lay in bed some more and read turning pages between swigs of coffee... I mean, common. The ideal Leo morning routine ends at about 1pm.. on a quick day. And you still don't have any clothes on!
