We are too trusting...we always "think" we found the one. We always think it's the best one but I honestly think us leos just see what we want to see and not get to know the actual person. I think that's why we are always heartbroken. It's our fault ?

Best connection mentally and physically and emotionally has been with a Virgo, surprisingly.

Leos tend to put on "rose colored" spectacles when regarding those we care about or even love. We put our loved ones up on a pedastal, raising them up above all others. We don't do this to objectify them, since they aren't trophies or simple arm candy to us. Instead the relationships we cultivate are a source of pride. Remember the beginning scene in Lion King when Rafiki presents Simba to the Pridelands? We want the world to see our loved ones the way we do.

This means we can get it wrong. Leos are notorious for seeing the best in people, so much so that we can go overboard with our expectations and miss the faults. We can be a bit too focused on the beauty, which makes it harder for us to see the reality. This of course winds up hurting us the most when the illusion breaks down and we are left feeling confused and displaced. We wonder where we went wrong and if the other person was even real. We can get too tied into what we thought was real rather than what actually was.

We do this because we are so intesensly wrapped up in the other person, that we refuse to believe that reality could be different. In relationships we are utterly devoted and giving to our loved ones, so we expect the same in return. Our fixed natures means we see things "our way", from our point of view. We must learn to be more patient and continue to observe individuals well past the point that we think we should.

That being said, the best sign will definitely depend on the Leo's placements but other Fire signs is a good place to start along with air signs. When it comes to water and earth signs, Leos tend to have more of a distinct preference. If I had to rank the likelihood of relationships I wind up in, the tend to be Air, Fire or Water, and then Earth.

I hate to say it, but as a WHOLE, it wouldn't be Virgo.

Probably not an earth sign.

Other fire signs would be a good start.
Funny thing is I wouldn't count Virgos out, not by a long shot, but the placements need to be right. It's tricky, but could work really well in regard to longevity.

Me either. I know a Virgo Leo couple who have dated for years. Like over 10 and we're madly in love. Argued like hell too but the love was there.

I actually think Leo/Virgo though slower to launch has more staying power romantically than the other Leo/earth sign combinations. Leo/Taurus seems easier to launch, but can burn up quickly. Leo/Cap is just difficult without proper understanding.

I think both signs can learn from each other most definitely.

My Leo friend dated a Taurus...it was hot and heavy at first but then from her standpoint he got cranky and controlling.

Yeah I've known a lot of Taurus women and knew dating them would not fundamentally work. I also have a friend who is dating a VERY Taurus woman and he can get very frustrated at times.

I've always liked Leos, because I've always felt how genuine they are. The ones I know have big hearts and are so generous!

But there are dodgy people out there, and those kinds of people will take advantage of those good traits, if given the chance.

My advice; Be a bit more cautious, but don't close those kind hearts over... it's what makes Leos so beautiful! Never let anyone take that from you.

Fire signs usually go well with other fire signs, but other placements matter. You really can't help who you fall for, tho.

- Leo rising.

Idk about other Leos but my experience with other fire signs has been a hot mess. I like them enough but usually find myself drained by them, even tho I got a lot of fire in my chart and that's supposed to be "compatible". I have had the most painful experiences with water signs but they have also led to the most personal growth. I like earth signs even though they don't mind criticizing me or telling me I'm "too much".

Don't know why, but I have never connected with air signs at all. I almost married an Aquarius, but they had so much water/fire that they were hardly the cold robot that most ppl describe them as. The opposite, really.
